Her hands shook as she read the results of her pregnancy test. "Positive..." She whispered to herself in shock. "Oh my God..."
She looked to the ceiling. "... How will I explain this one? If they don't kill me, they'll be sure to make my life hell for this...!" She said to herself, in a cold sweat as she dreaded returning to her work.
"I can't stay in here forever..." She said quietly, as she finished up and washed her hands.
When she walked out of the bathroom she felt like the air was colder, and that everyone was staring at her. 'I guess this is my paranoia kicking at me now...' She thought, as she returned to her post in a test with the father of the child she now carried. SCP-049. ("Of course."). She recorded conversations for the doctors who couldn't be bothered to, and took notes for them. She did the hard part of their job. And got the proper credit for it, but, it still annoyed the crap out of her that she had to do this, when she could be doing something else with her time, such as doing this, but not having somebody else do the hard part for her.
"Ms. Byrd, are you alright? You zoned out." Dr. Thorn looked at her.
"Wh- Oh I'm terribly sorry!" She apologized. "Once we're done here I'll need to get a glass of water.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Dr. Thorn looked concerned.
"Yes, Yes I'm alright." She nodded.
"Ok.." Dr. Thorn looked back to the window, where they were watching the Euclid completing his 'work'.
'I have to be careful not to get trapped in my thoughts...' She told herself mentally, as she made sure to keep focused, and not draw attention to herself. She had to keep this a secret for as long as she could until she could make a decision of what to do.
