YANG (洋) meaning ocean

Yang Jiahao tastes salt in every breath.
The swaying crests are his home and blood.
The water covers him at night
like a blanket that never feels cold.
Life is hard when alone,
but the ocean is filled with his family.
Lately, though, the tides have become
frantic, incessantly pleading for some relief.
Jiahao reads the signs and the ocean
is urging for help.
Will he drown along with his home,
or ride the waves to salvation?
Jiahao has a personality like
the calm streams that flow
gently into the big sea.
He has learned that rushing
frantically only causes destruction,
and a smooth flow eventually
endures through all.
And yet the ocean rage is still in him,
weathered down from his youth.
Jiahao knows how to rise up high
and crash down, wiping away
everything in his path.
But he's scared, and an ocean scared
is even more dangerous.
Water cannot be held tight,
not even by itself.
Jiahao needs to come to terms with
both his storms and sunny seas,
or else risk the tsunami.
