I struggle to my feet. Hunger gnaws at my stomach. It has been 2 days and no food in that time. I drag myself onto Kreiger's back. She snorts and trots forward - she has learnt the new routine already.
About 20 minutes later, we come to a big hill . I slow Kreiger to a walk; it will be a long climb. She puffs as she ambles up the hill. As we reach the top, I gasp - there is a farm house in the distance! I urge Kreiger into a gallop. The house nears. Suddenly, a huge German Shepherd dog barrels out of the farm house. Kreiger snorts in terror and leaps to the side. The ground rushes up to me. Everything goes black.
