12 days of Christmas (Cegan & Rickly)

On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to me

The next morning Carl waited by the truck for Negan and some of his men. Today was the day he went home to his family. Negan said he would open his gifts later tonight, he was so bummed out that the Grimes boy was now leaving him yet again. He got into the truck and the same did Carl. he sighed as he started it up and drove the teen back home. On the drive there he was lost in thought and wondered what type of gifts the teen got him. Whatever it was he knew he would love it.

Once they arrived in Alexandria Rick ran over to the trucks and almost slipped on the ice but caught himself before he fell. Carl got out of the truck and ran over to his father and hugged him tightly. "I missed you." The teen said to his father. He looked over and saw Daryl walking over towards him and he pulled away from his father and went over to him and gave him a tight hug.

Carl looked over his shoulder at Negan and gave him a smile and a wave goodbye. He walked with Daryl back to their home. While Rick went over to Negan.

"I swear if you did anything that hurt him, I will kill you," Rick said to Negan giving him the death glare.

Negan smirked brightly at the ex-cop. "Don't worry I didn't hurt him at all, he was pretty good while he was at my place." He turned away from Rick and walked over to the trucks and got inside and drove off.

Rick cocked his head to the side but soon brushed it off and went home. Everyone was getting ready for the lighting of the tree in a couple of hours at the kingdom. Carl walks over and hugs his baby sister.

"Carl!" Judith said as she hugged him back and kissed him on the cheek. "I missed you..."

"Let's open these gifts before we go." Rick said as they sat around the Christmas tree. Daryl passed cookies to the kids and Carl was so happy to have his favorite type of cookie as well.

Rick passed the first gift to Judith and Carl helped her opened it and it as a barbie doll a real nice one too. She clapped her hands for joy and opened the box to play with it right away. Next was Carl and it was from both Rick and Daryl. The tee started to open it and it was a new gun holster.

"Wow, thanks!" He said to his two fathers and smiled up at them.

Rick turned to Daryl and passed him a small wrapped box. "This is for you." He smiled as the hunter opened the small box and looked up at him.

"How did you get this?" He asks the ex-cop as he took out the gold necklace with that a small golden crossbow. He put it on and looked down at it.

"I was out on a run at an old mall and I saw it in the window so I grabbed it for you." Rick smiled at him and pulled Daryl closer and kissed him on the lips.

Daryl grabbed Rick's gift and passed him his wrapped gift. Rick started to open it and smiled at Daryl. "Your the best, did you make this for me?" He asks.

"Yeah, it took me a week to make it." The hunter replied.

Rick looked at the stuffed white fox, he knew Daryl worked so hard on it and it was perfect. "I love it, thank you." He kissed Daryl's lips and smiled. Rick pulled away and gave Carl Ron's gift.

The teen took the small wrapped box and then opened it and looked inside to see a silver thumb ring. Carl took it out and smiled. "Wow, it's so pretty." He said as he placed it on his thumb.

"I better make sure to thank him later." He smiled as he looked under the tree. "One from Michonne, and Tara and Rosita and even a couple from Maggie. Mostly just clothes for them to wear. Nothing too big.

Couple of hours later everyone got ready to leave for the kingdom for the lighting of the tree. Rick, Daryl, Carl, Judith, Michonne, Zane, Aaron, Gracie, Eric, Tara, Ron, Rosita, Noha and enid all went to the kingdom in different cars.
