Three boys, named Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika walked out of the elevator and into the underground tunnel. The little green creature greeted them and handed them their badges, and then Tonpa walked up to them and started a conversation. He's been doing that for at least twenty hours.

"Does that old man do that to all rookies, or does he selectively pick?" Two quietly asked the boy sitting on the ground beside her. This was the first time she started the conversation.

"Well," Killua started. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think he does it to all rookies. Why?"

Two looked down at her lap and responded quietly. "I wanted to know I would be categorized."  To Killua, that was understandable.

A scream rang out across the tavern. Killua turned his head to see a man with a purple cape crouching on the ground in pain. He didn't have any arms.

"Two, this person got their arms removed somehow." Killua grimaced. He looked back at Two, who seeming hadn't moved.

"I heard. It's a shame he was eliminated before the Exam even started." she said, finally looking up at the scene. if Killua hadn't looked away from her, he would have seen her flinch. It was only visible for a fragment of a second, but it was still there.

"People are brutal," she muttered so quietly, almost so that Killua couldn't hear her. He nodded in response.

A few minutes later, Killua spoke again. "Do you want more juice?"  Two nodded.

"Yes, please."

"Okay. I'll get you some." Killua stood up and brushed his shorts off, taking his skateboard with him as he went to find Tonpa. He was on the opposite side of the room, where Killua couldn't see him, so he just wandered around until he found the old geezer.

"Tonpa!" Killua called out once he found the rookie crusher. "Can I have more of that juice?"

Tonpa sweatdropped. If Killua ingested enough of the laxative, he'd die, and Tonpa knew it. But, Tonpa handed over three more cans of juice. "Sure!" he exclaimed. "Here you go!"  Killua looked at the cans in his hands and then back at Tonpa.

"Thanks," he said. "but could I have an even amount?"  Tonpa went pale at the thought of the young boy in front of him consuming four of the poisoned cans. He paused, unsure of what to do.

"Don't worry," Killua smirked, a malicious grin on his face. "we're immune to poison."  When Killua said 'we', Tonpa assumed he was talking about the brunette girl he was sitting next to earlier. That's why he wanted an even amount.

Tonpa silently threw Killua one more can and walked away. As Killua returned to where he previously was, he began to question his own statement. What if she's really not immune to poison? She might not have thought it was poisoned. But she seems smart, she would know if it was poisoned or not. Right?

Killua decided to ask Two herself. Once he reached the place she was sitting, he asked. "Hey, Two, are you immune to poison?" he inquired, looking at the girl with wide eyes. Two considered the question before answering.

"Not all. But a simple homemade laxative's not gonna do me in," she said quietly, but this time giving Killua a small smile. Killua was impressed that she knew what type of poison it was. He smiled back and sat down next to her.

"Good. How did you know it was a laxative? And homemade?" he asked in wonder.

"Well, I've tasted them before, and the taste just stuck with me, like most things. And I've never tasted that kind before, but it has the basic elements, so it's probably homemade."

"That's really cool!" Killua exclaimed. "Y'know, I actually wasn't sure if you were or not. I was just hoping you wouldn't accept the drink even after I told you you shouldn't."  He continued to grin.

"I'm not that stupid." Two informed, softly smiling. Killua chuckled and changed the conversation to another topic.

Two was surprised that she answered Killua's questions honestly. Usually, she would lie and either say she was immune to all poisons or that she wasn't. That way, she could either look stronger than she actually was or appear to be easily harmed. But this time, she chose not to lie. But she didn't really know why.
