Matt's POV
Well since Chris went off on his own, Jesse had his "hot date" and Frankie and Greg just wanted to sleep in, I decides to take a stroll in Green Park. I love parks. You can practically do anything there. Rollerblade, get an ice cream or just chill with your friends. Also helps with family bonding too.
Anyway, I walked aimlessly, deep in my thoughts. Thinking of a girl. Thinking of Lyra.
That girl was something. After her drama nationals, she agreed to meet me at Central Park in the night. It was a beautiful evening. I prepared a picnic and a small cake with the word "Congragulations" written in icing to celebrate her victory.
"I can't believe you did all this!" Lyra squealed. "Thank you so much! This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me."
"You're welcome," I said grinning, opening up the bottle of Ribena and filling up the cups. "Ought to celebrate anyway. Which reminds me."
I pulled out a tape and played it on the boombox. Boys to Men crooned out I'll make love to you on the speaker. I stood up and bowed before giving my hand out to her.
"Shall we dance?" I said in the most fake British old man accent. She giggled and took my hand. We slow danced to the song and when the night ended, I wished for it to never stop. When we packed up our things and headed back to her hotel room, I asked.
"You will email and facebook right?" She grinned.
"Absolutely. I'll miss you when I leave. And thank you for the evening." She replied before giving me a small kiss on the cheek. My face was burning and when I said bye, my voice sounded an octave higher.
We did keep in touch for the first 2 months but shortly after April, she deleted her facebook acount and she stopped replying my emails. Did she get sick of me? Did she get a boyfriend? I didn't know.
I was still thinking of her when a large Labrador Retriever went my way and landed on me. I looked at it's furry face, and scratched it's ears.
"Hey, where'd you come from eh?" I asked. The dog wagged it's tail happily at me, like it knew me.
"Holiday! Bad boy! You do not disturb passerbys!" A girl's voice called. A young girl probably my age with chestnut brown hair raced over and took the dog Holiday away.
"I am so sorry. I-" The girl stopped and stared at me. I was about to say something but I stopped too. The girl in front of me was a familiar face. Too familiar.
"I'm happy to see you again." I said, probably smiling like a idiot.
"And I'm very happy to see you too." Lyra said.
