At 12 AM, Mal woke up unexpectedly. She ran to the bathroom and started throwing up uncontrollably.
After about thirty minutes, she finally stopped her cycle of...you know. She gathered herself together and started to leave but started throwing up again for another thirty minutes.
She finally finished throwing up and went to get her robe.
She left the room and went to get one of the butlers in the castle. She started to look around the castle, but then she spotted Butler Harold (she knew almost every butlers' name in the castle now after living there for sometime).
"Hey, Harold! Can you help me with something?" Mal asked him.
"Of course, my dear lady. What do you need?" Harold asked in response.
"Could you go out and get me...umm...a pregnancy test?" Mal asked nervously.
"Oh mercy! Do you think you're actually...umm...pregnant?" Harold asked her in nervous sympathy.
"I mean, it explains why I haven't gotten my period in three months. Then again, I have been fasting lately and when I was on the Isle, I always had an irregular diet." Mal explained.
"Oh ok, maybe that's the reason why. I'll go out right now and get you just that." Harold said.
"I can't thank you enough. I owe you one," Mal said.
"No service is owed, since serving you is my pleasure." Harold said as he went out to one of the cars.
Mal sat on the staircase waiting for him, scared for what would happen next.Ben woke up to the sound of his phone ringing. It was a call from Fairy Godmother. He picked it up immediately, knowing the urgency of her calls.
"Hello! What seems to be the trouble?" Ben asked in a very proper way.
"The scepter has been stolen, and there's no trace of evidence left to track the culprit," Fairy Godmother explained.
"Oh no, I'll be there as soon as I can." Ben told Fairy Godmother, worriedly.
Ben put on some random clothes in his closet as fast as he could, grabbed his crown, and started to the palace garage.
Mal saw him as he was running out to the garage and stopped him.
"Where are you going?" Mal asked him.
"I'm going to see Fairy Godmother. The scepter has been stolen," Ben responded.
"Okay, be careful." Mal told him.
Mal kissed him and he rushed to the garage.
Mal went back to the staircase and waited for Butler Harold.
After about another ten minutes, Butler Harold arrived with the pregnancy test.
"My lady Mal, here's the test. I hope it serves you well," Harold said.
"I can't thank you enough," Mal said as he began to leave.Mal stood in shock as she saw the pregnancy test was positive.
What am I going to do now? Do I keep the baby? I'm only sixteen and I am going to have a child! Mal thought to herself.
Mal sat on the bathroom floor and cried.
Why me? Mal asked the universe.
Mal sat there for an hour before she got up and went to the bed. She had so many questions that could and couldn't be answered. Although, she did decide one thing she must do.
She decided she wasn't going to tell anyone unless it was necessary. She wasn't even going to tell Evie, or even Ben. She didn't want to stress herself out or anyone else.
She especially didn't want to tell Ben because it would put more pressure on him, and he already had enough to handle in his life as of right then.
She fell asleep, overwhelmed with endless thoughts.
