6:00am
It was the morning of the March 4th and Kesa Light, at this moment in time, was sleeping very peacefully in her single bed. Which was made up of splintered wood and broken wooden planks which were meant to keep the mattress level but did not always succeed in fulfilling its purpose. For Kesa to be sleeping so peacefully was unusual. Very Unusual. On a ordinary night for her she would keep waking up in the middle of the night all through till morning, either; Screaming, Shaking or Staring. What Kesa would be doing those things to would be nightmares or sometimes nothing. Nothing.
Yes, Kesa would sometimes Scream, Shake or Stare at nothing.
Well, her parents used to think it was nothing when Kesa lived with them, Kesa moved out and got her own place when she turned 18,and she also thought it was nothing to begin with. However one day, on the second week of living in her new home, she finally stopped believing that it was nothing. She stopped believing that it was nothing when she was lying down in her bed around 2:00am on the 24th of January. Kesa had drunk quite a massive amount of water that day and kept needing to use her bathroom so sleep was not going to be on her to do list tonight. So she laid there, motionless as if she were asleep. It was at this moment when she saw something.
She believed to have of seen a boy in her room. Standing there. Fully visible to anybody if they were to walk into Kesa's room. But when she sat up to see if there was actually a boy there, there was in fact; nobody. She rubbed her eyes to double check and as she did all she felt was a rush of wind go past her. She stood up quickly and paced to her open window. Kesa kept her window open as it was relaxing for her and without having cold air in the room she would sweat from all the trouble she has to go through during the night. She looked outside for any signs of anything that could have linked to what she just saw and the rush of wind. But all that Kesa did see were swaying trees in the late night breezes.
Anybody other than Kesa would have thought that what they experienced would have of been a dream that they were stuck in or even a coincidence. Kesa, on the other hand, knew it was definitely something. Something that she would never forget.
8:00am
The alarm rings almost as loud as if it was trying to burst Kesa's eardrums on purposes. She lazily snakes her arm up onto her bedside cabinet and tries to find the alarm clock, trying to find which that being in the sense of hitting her hand down until she finds the stop button. Kesa's struggle to turn off the alarm clock and her positive win on being lazy, makes her unaware of what is about to happen. Glass, Everywhere.
She hits her hand down again and again, whilst doing so moving a water glass across the bedside cabinet and making it move closer and closer towards the edge. Kesa slams her hand down one last time. She finally achieves in turning the alarm of which has taken herself 3 minutes in order to do so. However the glass has started to descend to the wooden floorboards of her room and within seconds is now a bunch of glass pieces.
Kesa sits up fast obviously startled by what has just happened and the mess that she has now made. She steps out of her bed into a clear floor area and starts to collect the glass pieces in her hand, one by one. The final piece is now about to be picked up. This piece of glass though just had to be sharper than the rest. As Kesa picks up the piece with her thumb and pointer finger ever so carefully with her right hand, it slices open both. To the response of the blood now leaking from her thumb and finger she drops the pieces of glass from her other hand, now creating even more smaller glass pieces and rushes to her bathroom. She reaches for her first aid kit whilst hovering her hand over the sink. She tries to open the first aid kit with one hand but fails miserably, as it is not as easy as it may sound, so Kesa has now resulted into using her mouth, by placing the first aid kit in between her elbows and using her mouth to pry open the clip.
The first aid kit is open. Plasters, alcohol wipes, bandages and more were stacked all inside the treasure chest for clumsy people. She cleans her cuts and puts plasters on now making it very uncomfortable to do anything. Having two plasters on the ends of a thumb and finger is not quite a fashion statement. She notices that her right hand looks different to her left now, if any random person saw they would not think that her hands looked different in any way apart from if somebody was extremely close to them. So Kesa was the only one who would notice.
The boy that comes to visit her though during the night, everyday, is not a random person though. Kesa does not realise that he will also notice and he will definitely notice indeed.
