7:34 am. Tuesday, November 30th

I had stayed up all last night listening to Luke's favorite bands. I just don't get it, they aren't that amazing to me, in fact they kinda scare me. I think I'll stick to my "bubblegum pop music."

There was one song that I found though that wasn't one of his options. It was called Arabella by some Monkey band. I had to say, it was pretty catchy.

I sit with Calum and Ashton,  waiting for Mrs. P. Michael and Noel were nowhere to be seen.

Strange.

Ashton isbragging about some party he went to the night before and how he almost got laid, which I have no interest in, but apparently Calum does. Guys are weird.

"Her name was Chelsea, she doesn't live around here though, I forget where she's from. Damn, she was hot I mean she had a huge a-"

"Ok everyone go to your assigned seats." Mrs. P walks into the class setting down her papers on the desk, almost spilling over her coffee. Calum high fives Ash as he went to his seat. I move over for Luke and he sits down between me and Cal.

We continue to work on our projects today.

"Hey Luke I listened to your bands."

He just looks over and nods then goes back to writing a rough draft. What's up with him?

"And I thought that they were okay. But I'd rather stay with my music."

"Suit yourself. "

"Why aren't you talking like you were yesterday, I thought we were friends?"

"Friends?" Luke laughs,  "no, we're nowhere near friends."

I look at him confused. "What do you mean we're not friends? What about last night?"

"That was last night. We were forced to get to know each other. Isn't that right? I mean, I know you would never want to be my friend. You just wanted to get a good grade on the project."

"That's not true, if all I wanted was a good grade, I wouldn't have laid down with you for hours talking about things you like."

He doesn't answer, just keeps writing. I sigh, why won't he accept the fact that I want to be his friend? Luke is the most confusing boy I know.

More than Calum and Michael.

Speaking of Calum, I look over at him and Jake Ianiro, laughing as if they were best friends.

I just want to say to Luke,  that could be us but you don't want anything to do with me. But that probably wouldn't end well.

I sink down into my seat and grab my phone. I have a new text from Noel.

Left early with Michael, cover us if anyone asks where we are. Might come back later. Maybe.

Of course they would. I know she won't come back though. Now I'll have to take the bus home.

The bus.

I can't stand the bus. Everyone is so annoying. And it smells disgusting.

I lean back in my chair and throw my pencil at the back of Calum's head.

"Ow, what the fuck?" He turns around and faces me, calming down once he realized who it was.

"Calum can you drive me home after school today? Noel isn't coming back, she basically just picked me up, dropped me off and left with Michael."

He looks around and sighs. "I have a soccer game after school. "

"I can wait. I'll watch you guys play."

"Fine I guess I can drive you."

"Thanks Cal Pal." I hug him from behind then go back to Luke. He looked annoyed.

"Luke, what's wrong?"

"Can you just start helping on the essay I really dont wanna do this all on my own."

Oh yeah, we had a project to worry about which had to be done and presented on Friday. I sigh and start writing.
