S1 E29: To Hokkaido with Love ♡

Yana Aikyou 愛敬 矢那

Sayako and I went into Headmistress Misaki's office. We told her about our unit, Hokkaidols.

"I'm impressed with your idea, Aikyou, Hidaka," the headmistress told us with a smile. "Aikatsu is becoming more passionate than ever!"

"Thank you very much, Headmistress Misaki," we thanked in unison. "We'll do our very best!"

The headmistress crossed her arms. "I'm sure you will. I'm looking forward to what you two will bring."

  The two of us nodded. When we left the office, I said, "I'm so hyped up! I can't wait!"

  "We still have lots of things to prepare," Sayako noted. "Now that we have our unit name, we have to think of our concept and song."

"The concept is obviously about Hokkaido," I answered with a smirk. "I'm thinking of pastel colours and snow. The pastel colours remind me of milk, and Hokkaido has delicious dairy."

  Sayako giggled. "That really represents our unit. Since we have time, let's practise dancing together."

  I nodded as the two of us went to change into our tracksuits.

After a while of dancing, the two of us took a break. Without a second thought, I sat on the floor.

  "That was some good training," Sayako said as she sat next to me.

  "That was fun!" I added as I took my phone out. "Look, Cassiopeia is in Nagoya at the moment. They're so cool!"

My unit partner nodded. "Reyna must be gaining lots of fans. She just started a few months ago and now look where she is."

I felt a smile form on my face. As Reyna's first friend in Pearl Star Academy, I was able to see her grow as an amazing idol.

"You're right, Sayako-chan. We ought to improve ourselves too!"

  When the two of us were about to leave the dancing room, I heard a familiar voice.

  "What do you think about Kiniro☆Nadeshiko? Cute, huh?"

  Turning, I smiled as two friends appeared before me. "Kiyoko-chan! Syuri-chan!"

  Kiyoko waved energetically. "Hi hi! Syuri-chan and I were thinking of names for our unit."

  "Actually, you've been doing all the thinking," Syurina muttered.

  "Yana and I were practising for our debut live," Sayako said, turning to me afterwards. "I'm looking forward to it. How's everything going in your unit?"

  Syurina's face turned red. Kiyoko was mumbling some words to herself.

  "Everything alright, you two?" I asked.

  Syurina and Kiyoko nodded. "We'll be fine! Right, Syuri-chan?"

The former sighed. "Probably."

  Sayako nudged Kiyoko. "Did you do anything to make Syurina feel uncomfortable?"

  Kiyoko shook her head. "I didn't, did I?"

  Syurina hesitated before shaking her head. "No, we're good."

I grabbed Sayako's arm. "The two of us will jog now. See you two later!"

Kiyoko and Syurina waved at us. Meanwhile, Sayako looked at me in confusion.

"What's going on, Yana?" she asked when the two of us were alone.

I stayed quiet for a moment. "There was this time when Syurina couldn't talk to me because of Kiyoko. I wonder if she's feeling that way towards her again. It gets pretty frustrating."
