It was early in the morning, and the sun shone bright.

-That's my wake up cue I guess,- you thought before sitting up in bed. You stretched and got out up to look in your closet for something to wear.

Your pov:

I was torn between a light blue, long sleeved shirt with a normal chuunin vest and black caprice and a fishnet tank top and a shorter chuunin vest, the same fishnet tanktop, with brown caprice. After a few minutes of deciding, I chose the second one. Though it was winter it was warm out today. Blue sky and visible green grass. There were no missions today, so I went up to the Hokage mansions rooftop to watch the clouds. My brother was already up there and talking to someone I recognized as Shikamaru, a boy on his squad. I didn't really know Shikamaru. What I did know, was only because Choji told me. I heard his voice and looked over.

"Moku-chan, come here!" he called.

I stood from where I was sitting on the roof and walked over. "What is it Choji-kun?" I asked him, walking over obediently. I sat down on the bench where my brother was so he explained what he wanted me for.

Shikamaru's pov:

I was talking to Choji on the rooftop of the hokage mansion when a girl climbed up. I recognized her, but wasn't really sure of who she was. The only thing I knew for sure, was she was Choji's sister, which on first glance, you would never guess. She's well known around Konoha, and has lots of friends. It seems like I'm the only one who doesn't know her. Choji called her over and she walked over without any hesitation.

"What is it Choji-kun?" she asked while sitting down. As he explained I stretched and told them I had to go.

Choji's pov:

I called my sister over after talking with Shikamaru for a bit. I wanted her to get to know him. Unfortunately, he had to go. Oh well...

Your pov:

After walking over to see what Choji wanted, Shikamaru left. I suppose I was supposed to meet him or something. Like... Really get to know him..... Oh well, another time..... I felt a pain in my stomach and whined, "I'm hungry, Choji-kun! Can we get something to eat?"

Choji laughed, "Of course, Moku-chan. What do you want?"

"Ramen?" I asked him hopefully.

"Sure." he said as we started walking.

We walked in silence until we got there. I sat down and asked for a bowl of ramen.

Once we got our food, two more people came in. One I noticed was Shikamaru, but I didn't recognize the other. He looked like maybe he was Shikamaru's dad.

Shikamaru looked over and waved slightly and I blushed. He took a seat next me and asked me my name. I just stared for a second before saying anything, "I-I'm Mokuhen Akamichi," I replied, "Choji's my brother."

Shikamaru nodded and told Ayame what he wanted.

Shikamaru's pov:

I just went to get some ramen after training with my dad. I asked the girl next to me her name because I was sure I knew her. At least... Knew of her. "I-I'm Mokuhen Akamichi," she told me, "Choji's my brother."

‘That's why I knew her... She's the girl from this morning!' I thought while she got her order

"Thank you sir,." she said, "Itakadimasu!" She picked up her chopsticks and began to ate as I got my meal.

"So, Mokuhen, I've heard people call you Moku, is that alright?"

She looked up at me, "Huh? Uh, yeah sure," she turned back to her food to eat, "Can I call you Shika?" She asked me as I picked up my chopsticks.

"S-sure..." I said

Mokuhen's pov:

As I finished my ramen and paid, I shook Shikamaru's hand and told him I was watching the clouds later. ‘Maybe he'll join me,' I thought. As I ran off, I smiled to myself and blushed.

2 hours later:

Still Moku's pov:

I walked up to the top of hokage mountain and laid down on my back closing my eyes. It was about three o'clock in the afternoon. Opening my eyes I saw someone else coming up.

"Huh?" I asked sitting up.

"Oi, Moku-chan!" a voice shouted. It was Shikamaru. He'd come!

"Oi, Shika-kun!" I yelled back in response.

No one's pov:

Shikamaru sat down accidently placing his hand on top of Mokuhen's. He blushed but didn't move move it.

Moku also blushed, but didn't pull her hand away. It was perfect. The two of them sat that way for a few minutes in silence. Mokuhen was the first to speak, "The sky is so beautiful! Nothing else could be this pretty!"

Shikamaru thought for a bit, "Prettier than the sky? That could only be you!"

Moku blushed a deep red, "Th-thanks..."

The moment was perfect and neither thought it could be greater. Shikamaru pointed something out and Moku looked up. It had been a cloud, but this one had a different shape to it. It had been a heart. Moku smiled again. Nothing could be more perfect than this.

"M-moku?" Shikamaru stuttered.

"Hm?" She said turning.

"Will you go out with me?"

Moku's eyes went wide, "U-uh..... Sure..." She said with a smile.

Now, nothing could be more perfect. They sat together like this for a good 10 minutes before Shikamaru had to go home. It was four thirty now meaning of course that Moku had to leave too. Shikamaru offered to walk her home and he did. At the doorstep, he kissed her cheek and ran home.

Moku's pov:

Shikamaru had asked me out, walked me home, and kissed me. Nothing could be more perfect! The day might as well be complete because not much could ruin it. I ran inside, Shika's words running through my mind. "Prettier than the sky? That could only be you!"

It was perfect. I ran to my room and threw myself on the bed.

"Aishiteru, Shika-kun!" I squealed happily.

My last words of the day.

Everything else had been silent before bed.

The perfect day has come and gone, but it will live on in my heart.
