A growl erupted out of a large silhouette that was pacing the dark clearing in blatant aggravation. The others stared at him in fear, stopping whatever they were doing to shy away from his suddenly angered countenance and exaggerated gait. He snapped his head around, yellow eyes stinging in their direction. "Fight better! Harder! Go!"
They suddenly snapped their gazes from him and continued their duty, ears back.
A grey tom slid up next to him, green eyes shimmering, "Be easy on them. They aren't ready yet, and neither are we. There's still more to do."
"Close your maw before I rip it off." The other tom growled.
"Listen to me!" The grey cat snapped, long grey tail wrapping around his leg to stop him from leaving. He pulled against it slightly, but the cat got closer, restraining him. "Listen! Use those large ears of yours." He nearly snapped at them, he was so impatient.
"Fine. Tell me, and I'll listen! All you're doing is running your maw."
"Listen!" He yowled, "We have enough time. We've weakened them and weakened them and now we can weaken them until they're near death! We can kill them, exterminate them, and finally have our revenge!" He told him excitedly, his eyes boring into his.
"Revenge?" The tom repeated, wrenching himself away from the grey tom, "What is this REVENGE you speak of?" He snorted, "I am not in need of revenge!"
The grey tom had tried to save himself, "N-Don't you want to protect your clan's name? Venomclan was given the sands although Venom was an amazing fighter and saved many of the Weak! A-And they were savagely ambushed by Greenclan in Greenclan's prime."
"And who's fault was the Greenclan, Greenstar?" The tom asked him, snarling.
"Please, listen!" He straightened himself and advanced upon his underling. Underling. Hah. He's taken control of me now! "Revenge for.. Revenge.." He drawled on, his voice quieting as he found that he could not organize his thoughts.
"Nothing. It has to be nothing! On what, possibly! Being stuck with that mouse-brained nickname?" He smirked. "You deserve no condolences for your petty life."
Greenstar quivered with anger, "You don't know what happened to me..-"
"There are stories enough." He lashed his tail and continued to pace, "And they all end with you angry and distraught. And you still are.. so why trust you?"
"Experienced, I am. I've seen many things." Greenstar lifted his head, "I've seen more than you. A cat learns to learn from their mistakes, correct them, make arrangements..." He edged forward, "This was my plan, you know. Besides.. you're not very experienced yourself. Living here, you've only seen a portion of what I have! Besides, you had an apprentice you tried shaping into the ultimate warrior... And how did Longscar turn out? Half dead."
"A half dead super soldier." His companion smirked, "As for your little plan, I had corrected all its many faults!"
"And there were none! You just added more onto it! I had it secure and now you've put it in danger again." I just want my revenge. I just want to kill everyone who's wronged me, the ones who banished me to the Darkforest. I am a first leader, I do not deserve to dwell in darkness all my life! I created a clan, a strong clan, a misunderstood clan, and this is how they repay me? They banished me forever here. Without Greenclan.. I will go back to the start. Where The Strong and the Weak were the only things existing. And I'll change the story- I want to be The Strong.
"You'll see." His voice interrupted Greenstar's thoughts. Greenstar listened, his tattered ears pricked with insincere interest. "You'll see me destroy them. Venomclan'll stand and stand alone." He paced faster and began barking at the warriors who had begun to chat and rest again, "CONTINUE! I never told you to halt training. Go. Go! Go until you're all soaked in blood. I want you red!"
Greenstar slunk away, receding back into the shadows that he has made his home. "This isn't for you, Venomclan." He whispered in a melancholy tone. "This is for Greenclan. All of it." He marched into a dark grove filled with ferns that were reminiscent to spines projecting from the murky grass.
"All of it for Greenclan. And by the end of this.. I plan to have my revenge." He sat down and lifted his head to face the eternal harvest moon, his face a troubled smirk.
