Claudia & Matt Update

Claudia's P.O.V.

"I'm home!" I heard Matt call, followed by an enormous amount of laughter coming from the girls playroom. "Hey there lovlies!" He chuckled.

I was still trying to figure out what to order on GrubHub, me and Matt had never been the 'cooking' type. So we had a regular's account on websites like Seamless and GrubHub. I settled on driving the family to Chipotle, this being both me and Matt's favorite place to eat. As I closed my computer screen, two arms wrapped around my waist and a pair of warm lips pecked my cheek.

"What shall it be tonight?" He asked, stillholding me.

"Well I was thinking we could get the girls dressed and go to Chipotle?" I said, smirking at him. There was no way he was going to say no to this.

"Actually..." He trailed off, letting go of me and grabbing his phone out of his pocket.

"Actually what?" I asked, honestly a little disappointed. He rubbed the back of his neck while searching for something in his phone.

When he finally found it he looked up at me with a big smile on his face. I looked at him, tilting my head sideways to indicate to him that I wasn't in the mood for games. I wanted to eat and I knew the girls would get restless soon. He hugged me and I laughed a little.

"Matt." I whined. "Can we just eat? Please?"

"We will, just go get the girls ready while I call someone." He told me. "It'll only be a second."

I nodded, walking out of the kitched and leaning against the door frame of our daughters play room. I watched them play for a few minutes. Elsie, my oldest, was showing Anna, my youngest, how to draw Olaf with finger paints. They laughed at the attempts Anna made to draw the snowman with her tiny fingers. They loved playing with each other, they were each other's best friends. Often people like our Pastor or the childrens director at church would ask me how I got them to play so well together. I honestly never knew what to tell them, my 5 year old and my 3 year old just loved each others company.

"Lovlies, Daddy's got a surprise for us so we have to get dressed okay?" I spoke up. Anna came running into my arms and I picked her up off the ground, holding Elsie's hand with my open one. I walked them upstairs into the bedroom that they shared.

I set Anna on top of her bed and Elsie sat down next to her as I rummaged through their drawers. I didn't know what to dress them in because I had no idea where we were going. I grabbed Elsie a denium button down, some black tights, and her tiny brown oxford flats.

"Here baby put this on while I find your sister something to wear." I said, placing the clothes next to her. She quickly did as I said, riding herself of the clothing she was wearing and pulling on the clothes I had given her.

I looked through Anna's drawers trying to find something that she wouldn't be cold in, but she wouldn't get hot in either. I settled on a white long sleeve with a blue bow on it, a blue tutu, and some black tights. I walked over to her to find her already half naked, mimicking what her sister had done. I laughed a little and kissed her cheek. I pulled the tights over her legs and slipped the tutu on after that.

"Mommy I pweety?" Anna asked, posing in her tutu. I smiled.

"Very." I kissed her cheek again, and quickly pulled her shirt over her head.

I had to do things like this to get her dressed because she gets distracted so easily. I looked over at Elsie who was already in her clothes and I remembered Anna needed shoes. I walked over to their closet, looking for her black sparkly flats. I couldn't find them and I rolled my eyes, standing up.
