Lady Margaret was a well composed young lady, born well off from a wealthy family in the south of England. She was infamous for her attractive features that apparently resembled a sea nymph. At times she was even referred to as an 'angel sent from above.' Hence, everywhere she walked intense stares and tiny whispers followed and haunted her every footstep. And much like these tiny whispers, a collection of suitors gathered up behind her, eagerly scrambling to get her attention with gregarious flowers and glistening piles of jewelry. However, all these suitors slowly diffused away drop by drop waning like the sun in response to Margaret's ruthless rejections. Nobody really knew why Margaret was so closed off. She even earned a new nickname and was now referred to as the, 'forbidden fruit,' of town.

In all truthfulness love had been out of the equation since the rude, 'awakening.' One cold scanty night in the middle of December, she had been on the search for her unnecessarily hyperactive puppy. She waded through the pile of snow as she clenched on to the tight wooly fabric of her coat for dear life. She stumbled through the cold night, delirious and drunk on the cold winter breeze looking desperately for the little animal. The paw prints remained fresh and distinctive on the fresh white snow and Margaret sighs in relief, 'He mustn't have gone that far.' However, she noticed that the trails led her to a little cottage right in the entrance of the woods lit up by a warm orange hue from the burning candle lights. An impulse of joy numbed her as she instinctively drove her body towards the cottage. She should have been more cautious really, walking into a potential criminal's home was not like her. Yet, unaware of any danger she eagerly knocked on the door waiting for a response.

With a little clunk of the metal and the door swung open with ease to behold a girl a little younger than Margaret. She was significantly shorter. However, seeming as Margaret leaned to the tall side it was understandable. It wasn't the height that silenced Margaret. It was her cute pink tinted lips that curled up like a bow and her dark chocolate eyes that waned like the moon. Her curly dark hair framed her small face as she proceeded to look up to Margaret with a beaming smile.

"Hello"

Margaret stood speechless in her presence. She was a thief as Margaret liked to call her, a thief of words.

"You should really be more careful about opening doors to strangers." Margaret quickly blurted out as she stumbled clumsily through her words.

She looked up quizzically then proceeded to collapse into a fit of giggles as she lightly tapped Margaret's shoulder.

"I can check who it is from the window silly." Silly, that's what she called Margaret. Nobody ever called her silly. But a mixture of such a suggestive word with her coquettish smile ignited something in Margaret. She wasn't immuned to flirty behavior. Especially from her really, it was her presence that stirred an inappropriate mixture of warmth in Margaret's chest. But something made her melt into a goofy smile as she watched the girl tentatively and let out a breathy chuckle.

"Oh" Margaret sighed dreamily as she stared into her eyes.

"Your dog. I'm assuming? Always comes here now. I gave him food once and he won't stop coming. It's nice though...having company occasionally." She lifted the puppy from the floor as she cooed lining her forehead with the puppie, "Especially by such a cute, fluffy friend!" She walked over and handed me the puppy as she proceeded to lightly kiss the puppy's head.

"His names Alfred." Margaret tried to not register the fact that she was so close to her.

"Well my name is Cassie"

"Cassie, what a cute name." Margaret taunted as she relished the sight of Cassie's cheeks turning deliciously pink.

"And you are?"

"Margaret"

They stared into each other's eyes for a good 3 minutes before awkwardly waving goodbye. However, for Margaret all she could think of was the chocolate eyed beauty that she just saw. Once she tasted the sweetness, she couldn't get enough of it. And soon like addiction, Cassie's maroon coloured eyes slowly painted over her life.

But the problem laid in the fact that Margaret wasn't bothered about it. Cassie was undeniably a woman, but to her surprise Margaret wasn't repulsed at the fact that Cassie was like her. She didn't dislike the idea of having somebody as soft and smooth as her lying enveloped in her arms. In fact, she craved it. She craved that soft warmth to cherish her, to linger in her touch. She desperately wanted Cassie. Suitors lined up in front of the door sporting their expensive tuxedos and jewelry, but all Margaret could think of was Cassie's soft voice and her delicate features.
