Chapter 204

They were left behind again after the doctor went out and silence dominated their surrounding again. Long Jie broke it again.

Long Jie: "Were you to traumatized about your mother that you even forgot me but remember everyone else. I'm sorry it was my fault that you have to go through that with your mother."

Li Jun: "No it was not your fault. It was just that mom said that I should not tell anyone that I'm your son even if I survived in that place. Maybe my subconsciousness protected me that's why I forgot everything about you."

Long Jie: "Right! Regarding your mother-"

Li Jun: "You don't have to say it. As I said during the consultation when Mom was shot in front of me. I knew then that I won't be able to see her anymore."

Long Jie, for the first time since he saw his son, have confirmed that Li Jun is still human who was vulnerable in some places. Like right now, he can see that he really don't want to talk anything about his mother.

He could see it in his eyes that held pain. He thought his son was an apthetic person during their talk with the doctor, he didn't even show any hint of emotion while retelling what happen. Thankfully though he was wrong.

He was still a human that could feel pain but just choose to hide it and endure alone like when he was still young.

Long Jie could see a familiar young child in Li Jun's image and it brought tears in his eyes. Li Jun was still the son he knows and love.

Li Jun was overwhelmed on the emotion Long Jie suddenly showed. He was embarrassed to see his father in tears.

Maybe his father was just sad when he heard him retell what happened on the mountain on that faithful day.

Even him, can honestly say that it hurts a lot just remembering everything. He actually wants to stop the examination earlier but he knows he have to go through it for his family and love ones not to worry or to see if any other complications are there on him that were not diagnosed because it had been overdue for a long time.

He suddenly remembered his beloved sister whose a worrywart.

Li Jun's eyes light up as if he had seen the ray of light after the darkness. He unconsciously showed a smile that change his whole disposition into a warm and approachable being.

Long Jie who was watching him was surprised by the sudden change looking at his daze son who had flown away a thousand miles. He was hundred percent sure that he was now at Gu Jiao's side. That made him smile and his guilt from before was lessened. Jiao'er really took care of his son.

Long Jie felt that maybe fate is not so cruel on his family. Li Jun may have suffered when he was young and was taken away from them until now but fate have intervened and brought him a solace in the midst of misfortunes in the form of Gu Jiao.

Long Jie felt even more grateful and satisfied on his future daughter-in-law.

He don't want to disturb his sons daydream but they have to talk important matter.

Long Jie: "My son, I hope you understand that we have you to part for sometime to your princess."

Li Jun was brought back to the present and was reminded of his current circumstances. He was speechless with his father annoying reminder. Can't he see he was healing after the bloodied examination? Can't he just wait like 5 mins before bringing him back to the cruel reality.

Li Jun was so annoyed that his face crumpled up.

Long Jie laugh at his expense.

Long Jie: "You have to endure until your strong enough to protect that precious little princess. You know?"

Li Jun let out a frustrated breath. He cannot argue to his father's words because he knew he was right. He realize after the mistakes he have made at the kidnapping situation. He can't just be immature forever that thinks he was an invincible man. He still need a lot of growing up to do.

But he wants to ask can't he do that with her by his side? Why take them apart?!

Li Jun who have lots of things to say to the grown ups who take them apart.

So Li Jun frustratedly asked the things in his heart. He wants to know why after all.

Li Jun: "Why keep us apart?"

Long Jie: "Well... Because we have decided to train you in the military but of course that is if you agree... So if you did, you would still need to part from her under the circumstances of law and order of the military. Ahmmm... Second our enemy who somehow mistaken Jiao'er as you... as my child I mean, have put her in danger so we are keeping her away from his reach until we could find leads about our enemy. The third is because Li Cheng wants to give his family the long overdue bonding. His wife Gu Fan had confess to a lot of misdeed she made on you due to the misunderstanding. So after clearing up the misunderstanding about your standing on the Li family, Li Cheng realize that he have done a poor job about his wife. Now he wants to rectify his mistakes to his family."

Li Jun: "I will consider about the military. But what does uncle Li Cheng rectifying his mistakes have to do with me and Jiao'er being apart. He could do that even without us breaking apart."

Long Jie was helpless again he can't get his point to Li Jun.

Long Jie: "Ahmm... Well because your part of the misunderstanding so isn't it understandable that you will have to give them some space to clear up the misunderstanding?"

Li Jun: "Well... I have already move out of the Li household when I went to the university. So what kind of space does uncle Li Cheng need to rectify this mistakes. And isn't because he was not capable enough on doting on his wife that his wife still misunderstood his affection."

Li Jun clicked his tongue before continuing.

Li Jun: "Tsk... Why made us suffer too because of his shortcomings?"

Long Jie was again left speechless. He wants to vomit blood because of Li Jun's shrewdness. It's really a mistake giving Li Jun to much of his genes.

Isn't it because your also at fault why your apart? Isn't because you are not capable enough not to be caught when you put your sharp claws on Jiao's that is why your in this predicament? So who are you to question Li Cheng in terms of not being capable enough?! The only difference is that Li Cheng was a little lacking in showing his doting and you have done to much of it. Long Jie complained in his heart.

He let out a frustrated sigh. He really wants to tell the real reason to Li Jun but he sadly knew if he do so, given Li Jun's eagerness to be with Jiao'er he would bolted out to her side if he knew how petty the real reason is.

Well it was his fault for not being capable enough so he will just torment him by not telling. (◣∀◢)ψ

He could see they will just go around in circles if this topic keeps up so he diverted their attention to the other talk like the military.
