CH. 20 They Don't Need To Understand

I was officially ready. I walked downstairs to see Brendon all dressed up in his tux. Tonight was going to be so much fun. Claire, spencer, Brendon, Dallon, Breezy, and I were officially going to the VMA’s. We haven’t seen Dallon and Breezy since the tour and i think i can speak for all of us when I say we miss them. When I got to the bottom of the steps Brendon looked at me in awe. I was wearing a black Dress that went to my ankles with a black belt that went across my stomach. “You look absolutely gorgeous.” Brendon said with wide eyes. “You don’t look so bad yourself.” I said giggling a bit. He rolled his eyes and smiled, then kissed me. “Spencer and Claire are on their way to Dallon’s now.” “Okay, I guess we should get going now then right?” Brendon giggled, and I agreed.

We got into Brendon’s car and drove off to Dallon’s. Panic! decided to rent a limo for the event, and I was so excited. Brendon and I arrived at Dallon’s within 20 minutes. It never took us this long since he lives like a few blocks away, but since today was a big event all the celebrities were ready at like the same time as us, and were already off to the VMA’s while most of Panic! At The Disco was meeting up with each other. We walked up to Dallon’s door and knocked, Breezy answered the door and hug both Brendon and I. She invited us in and Brendon walked over to Dallon, and talked to him about music, or whatever.

Soon after Brendon and I arrived, Spencer and Claire arrived. Claire and Breezy said hi to each other and then they both walked over to me. I had a glass of champagne and they did too. We caught up on things like what was going on with other bands and their girlfriends, and we just talked about our other celebrity crushes besides our boyfriends, and Breezy’s husband. My crush was Andy Biersack from Black Veil Brides, Breezy’s was Austin Carlile from Of Mice & Men, and Claire’s was Ronnie Radke from Falling In Reverse.

About 15 minutes passed and the limo arrived. We all got in and instantly poured ourselves some drinks. Brendon raised his glass and started to say “Here’s to our gorgeous girls, and our nominations at the VMA’s!” We all said ‘hell yeah’ and crashed our glasses together. We got to the arena, and when we walked in the place took my breath away. Everything was gorgeous. The stage was lit up, the place was dim, and everything just seemed so perfect. Brendon saw the look on my face and put his arm around me, then he said “I know. It’s absolutely breath-taking.” “The fact that I’m even here is breath-taking. I never thought I would see the VMA’s live let alone with you.” I looked up at him and he kissed me. I love him so much. It was like every time he looked at me I would feel like we were the only 2 people who exist. No one else, just us.

We found our seats, and waited for then waited for the show to start. It started off with Arcade Fire, then inbetween performances they would announce the winners of certain awards. up next after Miley cyrus was the artist of the year award. The nominees were Panic! At The Disco, Chris Brown, Arcade Fire, Ariana Grande, and We The Kings. Katy Perry was announcing who won, and the anticipation was killing me. “Come on just say it already.” I tried to say under my breath, but Brendon heard me and slightly giggled. “And the winner is… Panic! At The Disco!” the boys, Breezy, Claire, and I all shot up from our seats and screamed with pleasure. Brendon kissed me and the boys followed with their dates. They eventually went up on stage and made their acceptance speech.

Brendon went first, “I seriously don’t know what to say except thank you to all of those who voted, thank you to the people that helped us with Too Weird To Live, Too Weird To Die, and most of all I would like to thank my amazing girlfriend Heather.” A camera panned to me, and I smiled and waved to it. the cameras were focused back on the boys, and Spencer and Dallon basically said the same thing that Brendon said. “Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity we love you all.” they blew kisses to the crowd and walked back over to us. Brendon came over to me, and a camera was pointed at us. He looked at me and said, “Heather, you are the most amazing girl I have ever met, and I want you to know that every morning, every afternoon, every night, and I want you to know it every single day of your life.” He got down on one knee and I became shocked. “Heather Eva Ann Wilson, will you do the incredible honor of marrying me?” I had no idea what to say other than yes. When I said yes he got up and hugged and kissed me. “Did you just ask me to marry you?” He shook his head yes. “Did I just say yes?” He shook his head yes again. I was in so much shock that I had no idea what to do except kiss Brendon.
