As Lydia Butler was driving down the small road to the Yeager household she saw the garage door open. She smiled as she pulled her truck to the yard coming into a full stop.Lydia got out of her car and groaned when she saw Lucas come out the barn and wave at her. She shook her head and walked into the garage, seeing both Tessa and Cade there.
"Girl, do you ever stop getting taller? I feel so small standing next to you." She said and laughed after it making both the Yeagers turn and look at her. Cade smiled at her and got back to working on something whilst Tessa gave Lydia a hug.
"You are standing in a holy place." Cade said and got up from his chair and walked outside. Lydia heard someone laugh from the yard making her furrow her eyebrows and follow after Cade seeing him with a baseball bat and ready to attack the people who came to look at the house like it was for sale.
"Hey you. Hey!" Cade yelled whilst running towards them making Lydia curse and jog up to him before he did anything stupid. "I own this house, it's not for sale." Cade yelled and his run turned into a walk.
"Six months late on payments, Mr. Yeager. And I see you stealing power at the pole." The lady said, making Lydia furrow her eyebrows and turn to look at the poles, seeing that the lady was right about it.
"Hey, that's not your concern." Cade said but Lydia blocked everything else out that came out of his mouth next because she started to run towards Cade, putting her hands on his chest to keep him away from hitting the people with his baseball bat.
The yelling got slightly louder and even over the yelling Lydia heard the car start up and back away from the yard through the fence. Making Cade start to complain about it.
"Cade enough." Lydia said making the man look at her and shake his head. He sighed and turned around ready to get back to work. "Cade, relax. You're gonna have aortic infraction." Lucas said out of nowhere making both Lydia and Cade look at him.
"What is that?" Cade asked angrily after walking past him. "I think it's a brain heart attack." Lucas said making Lydia shake her head and follow after Cade.
"Yeah, I've already had one." Cade answered making Lydia chuckle at him. She walked past Lucas and straight past the father and the daughter who yet again were fighting about something.
Lydia crossed her arms when she walked in the garage seeing the big truck in there. She furrowed her eyebrows and walked closer to it. She looked around the truck and tried to figure out who or what blew the huge hole in the trucks front.
"What happened to you?" She asked out loud and opened the trunk of the truck. She furrowed her eyebrows whilst looking around it. She didn't even realize that Lucas saw standing next to her until he spoke up.
"Weird, right?" He asked making Lydia scream out loud and punch him in the face. Lucas groaned and held his nose, whilst falling to the ground in pain. Cade ran in the barn and looked at the scene infront of him.
"What happened?" Cade asked and walked towards the two making Lydia look up at him and then back at Lucas and then back at Cade. "He scared me, so I ended up punching me." Lydia said making Cade chuckle and then looked at Lucas.
"You deserved it." Cade said and pointed at Lucas, who only looked at him with wide eyes. Lydia looked at him with a shrug, whilst Cade went back to working on one of his robots.
Hours went by and neither of them had paid any attention about moving inside the house. Tessa came out of nowhere with a tray that held two plates and two drinks.
"Here you go. You forgot to eat yet again..." Tessa said making Lydia look up at the girl and then at her watch. "Oh, thank you Tessa. I totally forgot about the time." Lydia said and took a plate off of the tray putting it infront of her. Lydia turned to look at Cade who didn't even notice that Tessa was there.
Lydia shook her head and took the screwdriver out of his hand making him protest and look at her making him realize that Tessa was standing there too. Lydia put the plate infront of him and handed him a fork.
"Eat." Lydia said and pointed Cade who only looked at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Look, sorry sweetie, I--" Cade said and looked back at her and then shook his head. "I almost got it done." He said and looked at the robot again.
Lydia took her plate and started to walk around the garage. She looked at his investments and then turned to look at the truck, looking at the damage and all.
"This is a no dating household, you don't date, I don't date. That's it." Cade said and shrug his shoulders at his daughter who shook her head and looked at her father. "Maybe you should." She said and walked out of the garage, Cade quickly following after her, taking a quick glance at Lydia who had her eyes on the truck.
Lydia put her plate on the table and wiped her hands on her jeans. She lifted the trunk of the truck and sighed. "Lets fix you up." She said just as Cade came back in the garage and looked at her.
"I can help." He said making Lydia look at him. "No, you eat first and save the robot cause it's about to catch fire." Lydia said and just as she said it the small robot caught on fire making Cade curse and put the fire out before it damaged the robot badly.
Cade sighed and sat down eating his food whilst Lydia started to work on the truck. Soon after Cade had stopped eating and was helping her fix the truck.
