Anaesthesia awareness - Being conscious during surgery. There are 4 main types of anaesthesia awareness: being able to feel the pain but also be able to move, not be able to feel the pain and be able to move, not feel the pain and be paralysed, and probably the most frightening, being paralysed whilst being able to feel the pain of surgery (for example you can feel every cut and if you have heart surgery, you may even be able to feel the surgeons break your ribs.
Statistics show that 21,000 out of 21 million people who got surgery in the USA experienced anaesthesia awareness.
