23. Threat

"We went back to the restaurant. We asked the staff and we reviewed the CCTV so we knew," - Aljean

"Abby also told me about it but she didn't know what you have discussed that day," Jao told Dream.

"We won't let you down, eh," Ayla 

What happened at the restaurant ...

Jao meets Dream when she enters the restaurant. He guided her at their table and reluctantly sat down. They ordered food.

"So, what is this?" Dream asked him after the waiter left to take their order.

"U-uhm ..." He was restless. Obviously nervous. "How is it? Is this a good place?"

She laughed. It seems he does not know what to say. "It's okay. It's fine. Thanks for it. I'm happy today," Dream said with a sweet smile, eyes flickering.

Jao seemed to melt into her smile. Suddenly their order came. "Ah, let's eat?"

After a while a waiter approached them. "Sir Jao, Sir Jonell has called you," said the waiter.

"Is that so? Okay, I'll be going. Dream, I'll leave you alone for a while. Aljean's dad had called me."

"Okay," Dream said and smiled.

Dream just continued eating when Jao left. She felt someone sit opposite her. She thought Jao was back so she lifted her gaze but saw someone else. An old man.

"Ah hello sir? How can I help you?"

"I'm going to be straight to the point. I'm Jao's dad and I don't want you for my son,"

Dream was shocked at the man's words. She didn't expect that.

"I want you to leave my son alone because you are just interrupting us. And if you don't want your family to mess up, you better follow me,"

Dream couldn't speak. She didn't know what to say. She was still shocked by what the elder said.

"I can imprison your father. I can make your family miserable. Maybe you don't know me but we are the owners of Shinhan Kaji so if you want a quiet life, stay away from my son."
