Chapter 24 - Brazil

Jake P.O.V

I hate phone calls in the morning...so annoying.

I answered the phone "You better have a good reason why you calling me at this hour."

It was Austin. "Boss some business men from Brazil have for sale. meet me at Tim's warehouse and boss, don't forget the paper works." then the phone cut dead.

something was not right, Austin used the code Paper works which means that they ambushed and the call is a trap.

I turn to see Abby sleeping so peacefully, i didn't wanted to wake her so I left a note.

Abby P.O.V

my eyes fluttered open, expecting the warmth of Jake next to me the bed felt cold. i sat up and saw a note from him.

Wishing that my legs could still be entangle with yours right now but something came up that i need to take care of, i'll be back.

I couldn't help but blush. When I got up from the bed and i realized i have to do the laundry.

After doing laundry i showered and made breakfast. after checking my phone to reply a few messages i decided to turn on the TV which was on the news channel where breaking news were bold red on the screen.

"Breaking news live right now the warehouse in Salad Avenue has exploded fifteen minuets ago and we are still waiting for info for any survivors." the reporter said.

Then my phone rang, it was Jackie.

"Hey is everything-" i asked.

"Abby, Jake is in trouble, he's been kidnapped, i'm on my way to your house-" line cut dead.

Fuck

I went to get some weapons and pack a bag and got myself geared up and that's when i heard the door bell.

When i opened the door it was Jackie, her glasses were off, hair messy and there was a lot of ashes on her clothes.

"Abby I-" she took a deep breath before coughing.

I helped her to rest on the couch, gave her some water and then called Kevin.

less than five minuets he was at the house. when he got in he hugged her tight i swore her face was turning blue.

"Babe don't kill me, I have to explain what happen... now Austin and i were working and the ware house then it was the Yakuza they threaten and surrounded us, they also had Austin at gun point calling Jake which he said the ambush code then when backup came we lost i couldn't find Austin and Jake was fighting until he was pushed into a black van and drove off. i nearly got kill by the explosion but i got push out of the way. "

"I swear i'll-" Kevin gas up with rage but the door bell interrupted him.

I open the door to see Austin barley standing, a nasty cut on his face and probably a broken arm. when i helped him in i heard a car pulled up which was Cassie which she ran straight passed me with tears in her eyes and kissed Austin.

"Sorry Abby." Cassie said as she face me and hugged me.

"It's okay."

"Also Natty and Josh are on vacation, they left the country last night. They are spending two weeks in Barbados." she added.

"Okay but please don't let them know what's happening, i don't want to worry them. also i'm going after the Yakuza myself.

"No wait-." Austin began.
