james potter might have a little bit of a dilemma.
he's hopelessly head over heels for lily evans. he thinks it's love, a part of him wants it to be love. but you'd think with the countless rebuttals and rejections, he would stop. but james has always been a hopeful and determined fellow anyways. james isn't sure what's wrong with him. is it his hair, those glasses of his that look a little too nerdy? is it his laugh which sirius claims sounds like a hyena at times? he isn't quite sure what it is but he's determined to get the girl.
that never quite happens though.
lily's actually kinda into girls. which james is totally, totally cool with. that's cool. but now he's just a tad bit heartbroken that the only girl he really liked happened to fancy someone else. even if that someone else was a girl (which, again, he is fine with. love is love and as long as she's happy, he's happy). but now, james isn't sure what's next. a part of him wants to forget all about love altogether and maybe even focus on his studies (ha, as if that'll happen). maybe even properly live up to his role as head boy without bending the rules and definitely stop getting into trouble (he swears it follows him sometimes).
that's until margo kitt steps into the picture.
the flamboyant hufflepuff whom everyone swears should've been cast in gryffindor was a ray of fucking sunshine. she may be a muggleborn but she's just as powerful as the other witches before her. although happy as can be, that doesn't mean she's soft though. she's passionate about what she believes in and fiercely loyal when it comes to protecting her friends. and everyone else who finds themselves under snotty little severus' bullying. it's no surprise that she's close friends with lily evans, the two of them incredibly thick as thieves. so she knows all about james potter and she especially knows about the marauders - the trouble they cause and the iconic pranks that'd be sure to be remembered for years to come.
