Chapter 9

Mingi POV

"I think you should stop messing with Sophia" Hongjoong said out of no where.

"Why?" I asked. This is so sudden.

"It's causing tension between our group of friends" he responded. San openly told all the other guys in the group that he liked Sophia and things just got weird between us.

"He needs to back off of Sophia. She's his step sister"

"At least tell him you're dating her"

"Sophia doesn't want me to tell him" I said.

"Don't you find it weird that..." Hongjoong started to say but, stopped himself.

"What?" I asked curious about what he's trying to say.

"What if Sophie and San mess around on the low just like what she's doing with you? » he assumed.

"She wouldn't do that" I doubted. Sophie isn't the type to do anything like that.

"They live together and she doesn't want you to say anything to him. What is he? Her father? You have to tell her to let him know what's going on or he'll take her from you" 

What Hongjoong said made so much sense that I texted Sophie and told her we needed to talk.

Baby 😍😘: when I get home I'll call you.

It took her a whole two hours to call me. What was taking her so long?

"Hello" She said in a cheerful tone.

"Hey" I replied. After that there was nothing but silence over the phone.

"You said we needed to talk" She mentioned.

"Yeah...we do" I said. "So what took you so long to call me?"

"I was eating and San was helping me with my homewor-"

"San isn't even that smart" I interrupted her. "He just wants to get close to you"

" he's technically close to me everyday he lives here.." She replied. "What's going on with you today? Why are you acting like this?"

"Are you going to give San a chance?"

"A chance at what?" She asked playing stupid.

"A chance with you"

"Mingi you can't be serious....I only told you San kissed me because I didn't like him like that and you're  my boyfriend. If I knew you would act like this I wouldn't have told you in the first place"

"You only told me because you felt guilty"

"Guilty about what?"

"I don't know you tell me"

"Wow Mingi! You know what leave me alone, bye!" She said hanging up.

Wait...did she break up with me?

Sophia POV

I wanted to tell Kendra what happened but, I didn't even tell her about the San situation. I just know she would be upset. What will I say if she sees I'm not speaking to Mingi.

While I'm in deep thought, I hear a knock at my door.

"Open", I say as San walks through the door. He's probably one of the last people I want to see right now. He's the reason Mingi and I got into this ridiculous argument in the first place.

"Are you ok? I heard you yelling" San said.

Oh gosh, was I that loud?

"Yeah I'm fine.."

I thought he would leave but, he sat on my bed which caused me to sit up.

"So....did you come up with an answer yet?" He asked.

"An answer to what?" I tried to play stupid.

"I don't think it will work out. We live in the same house, what will my mom and your dad think? We are technically family it would be weird"

"Yeah, you're right" he replied. "
Anyways bye" he said leaving my room. I probably broke his heart.

A week later...

I haven't spoke to Mingi in a week and I don't really plan to speak to him either. It doesn't seem like he cares because he hasn't texted nor called me.

"Why haven't you been speaking to your man lately?" Kendra brought up out of no where.

"I do speak to him" I lied.

"Are you sure because he sure speaks to other girls like he use to when he was single. Just like how he's speaking to some random female right now" She pointed out.

I looked around and I did see him speaking to another girl. I was going to defend him and tell her they are probably just friends until, I saw her touch his chest and he did nothing but grab her hand and smile. I was heated.

Why would he do something like that in my face?
