My pulse instantly accelerated, as I heard the loud screams. My palms covered in sweat, as fear consumed every inch of my body. My mind began to drift towards various assumptions of what could go wrong. I was beginning to lose my senses
"Sarah, Izmir! Would you two SHUT UP FOR A SECOND!"
" No tell me what's wrong with you? WHY are you taking their anger out on us Huh", Sarah's piercing voice stabbed me, with her eyes gleaming with fury.
Slamming the door hard, I mourned over my miseries. Tears started brimming in my eyes, as I realized this was nothing new. This was my life. My mess. The chaos i was entangled deeply in. Even if I wished, I couldn't escape this mess. Fighting back my tears that threatened to spill anytime, I snuggled deeply in my bed, pulling the duvet upto my face, wanting the earth too swallow me in.
The silk pillow now warm and wet with my tears. I cover my mouth to not let any muffled cry escape. Perhaps, the duvet was my only saviour. The essential shield which protected me from the screams, which haunted me every night. Soon, after darkness consumed me and most importantly my fears. But only temporarily.
