The wrapping paper rested on my lap when my shaky hands picked up the two pieces of paper. "Mom, are you serious?" I nearly yelled. Tears started to float down my cheeks as I let the truth hit me. Is this real life ? I pinched my arm and looked back up, straight in the smiling eyes of my mother : "Yes sweety, you're meeting Jacob". I don't remember how many times I said it, but the "o my god's" escaped my mouth repeatedly. I heard her sweet voice laugh into my ears when I rapped my arms around her firmly. "Thank you so so much mommy, you don't know how much this means to me". The tears started to well up again. "Oh sweety, I think I actually do know". She pulled back from our embracement and winked at me. My mom is literally the sweetest person on the planet. And I knew how difficult this must have been for her to buy these tickets. My mom and I were alone, she raised me alone. We lived in a small house in a small cute town where everybody knew each other. My dad walked out on us when I was 3 years old. My memories of him are limited and blurry. As a child I found it rough growing up without him. But as I grew up, I knew I didn't need him. It takes a pair of balls to be mom and dad at the same time, but she never let me down. And I admired her more than anyone. "There are two tickets, I already called with Rose's parents, she is coming too". "WHAT MOM ARE YOU SERIOUS" I started to jump around and I yelled as if I was 5 again. I stopped in front of mom and opened my mouth, but she already answered before I could ask it. "Go on, go call her!" She said smiling. I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone. My fingers automatically typed Rose's number. After two rings she picked up. "Hey girl! It's your birthday, I am supposed to call you remember ?" "ROSE YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT MY MOM GOT US" "O my God Lilly, is it what I think it is?" I took in a deep breath and heard Rose doing the same thing. Synchronically we yelled "WE ARE MEETING JACOBBB!"

I woke up and automatically grabbed my phone. Jacob had been tweeting and following girls all night. I scroll trough his timeline and see the new usernames of the girls 'TYSM JACOB ILY'. I suddenly stop scrolling as I see a familiar username on Jacob's timeline. : "Pink_Whitesider : Jacob me and my best friend are meeting you in three days, buzzin like a bee!" "Jacobwhitesides : Can't wait girls, I bet you two are beautiful as hell ;)". My smile grew from my one ear to another. Rose probably hasn't seen it yet. She often tweets him before she goes to bed, and I do the same. It's a ritual that we've been doing for a while now. My fingers rapidly touch my screen and soon I hear Rose. "Lils it's like in the middle of the night" "Check twitter" "Are you seriously calling me because of a social network ?" "Rose, check your timeline" I repeated on a calm tone. "Allrighttt, I text you in a minute, love you" "You too girl". I smiled as I was thinking about the face she was about to make. "And I will get bombed with texts in 3, 2, 1..."
"LILLY MY TIMELILE ISBEXPLODING I CAN't"
"LILLY HE SAIS WE AR ZBEAUTIFUL"
"LILLY GET READY IM COMIG IVER I HAVE TO SHARE THIS JOY WITJ YOI""LILS, o my god". I smiled.
