A cool wind blows throughout the abandoned park, it makes the trees shake and groan. A tall figure of a man walks down the sidewalk that leads deeper and deeper into the park. He keeps on walking until he stops at a bench where a woman around his age is sitting. He sits next to her and taps her on the shoulder, once she turns around and meets his eyes a warm smile comes across her face.

"Hello Conner, I didn't think you would show." Her sweet and innocent voice fills the air around the pair.

"I would never leave you alone when we have made plans, Hazel." Conner then takes Hazel's hands into his and pulls her close to him. He leans into her ear and whispers, "Are you ready to go?" Hazel gives a simple nod before pulling him towards her car. Hazel unlocks her car and crawls into the driver's side while Conner sits in the passenger's seat. Hazel gives Conner a quick smile before pulling out of the Parks parking lot and towards her house.

After fifteen minutes pass, Hazel pulls into the driveway of a white, two-story house. The rim and shutters, the roof, and the front door were black while the rest of the house was pure white. Hazel turns off the car and gives Conner a small smile before getting out. She unlocks her front door and lets Conner in before walking inside herself. She takes off her black coat and directs Conner to give her his red coat. She puts the coats away and pulls Conner towards the kitchen where she inspects his outfit more. Conner was wearing a white button-up shirt that was tucked into black dress pants with black dress shoes to pull the whole look together.

"Like what you see?" Conner asks, giving Hazel a small smirk.

"Of course, I like what I see but what are you so dressed up for?" Conner gives a simple shrug in response. Hazel rolls her eyes and moves through her kitchen to take out a bottle of red wine and two wine glasses. She holds them up to Conner and gives a smile. "Want a drink?" Conner chuckles a little before taking one glass from her.

"We have ten minutes before New Year's, aren't we supposed to wait?" Conner says while handing Hazel back the wine glass.

"One drink never hurt anyone right?" Conner gives Hazel a nod before walking into the living room while Hazel pours the wine.

After Hazel pours the wine she brings both glasses to the living room and gives one to Conner. Conner accepts the drink and takes multiple sips while Hazel just sits and watches while not touching her drink. Conner notices this and gives Hazel a questionable look.

"Why aren't you drinking?" He asks.

"You'll see." Just then Conner gets very drowsy and drops his glass onto the floor before slumping into the couch.

"What's going on?" Conner slurs but Hazel just gives him an evil smile.

"Sleeping pills, I put some in both drinks and waited for them to kick in. Which is why I wasn't drinking." Conner is too dazed to respond so he just gives Hazel an even more confused look. "Now I do apologize, I do love you but I just can't help it. It is my New Years Resolution to stop but we will see how much that works." Conner's eyes widen as Hazel pulls out a knife. She notices this and puts a hand on his cheek, "Shh it's okay, you won't feel a thing." Conner's world is then filled with darkness as Hazel lifts the knife. The clock strikes twelve when Hazel plunges the knife deep into Conner's chest making his breathing stop and blood to splatter everywhere.
