chapter 17

After Seungcheol woke up, he walked to the police training academy. It was a long walk but he didn't really mind. It was both exercise and it gave him time to think. as he was walking, he couldn't help but think about everything that had happened the day before. He wished everything was alright again, before the whole interaction with Minghao. Stupid Minghao, he always ruined everything.

Seungcheol knew he said no words would affect him, but they did. They made him lose the ability to care.

He sighed before walking onto the campus grounds. He also couldn't help but think of the way he hurt Joshua. Was it too late to take it back?

Why'd he have to be such an impulsive Leo?

The thought of Joshua reminded him of Jeonghan. It made him upset at how openly close they were. Jeonghan even kissed him right in front of Seungcheol. Had he no dignity? To kiss a straight man in front of someone else... Yoon Jeonghan was honestly something else.

But he didn't have to call me 'hetero' for that! Seungcheol frowned, remembering. Why didn't he just deny it? Because Jeonghan doesn't have to know how bisexual you are.

He hated having his sexuality assumed, whether it was right or wrong. Why does it matter who he fucks with? Or just fucks.

After all the security checks, Seungcheol walked into the "volunteer" room, noticing there were a lot less people than last time. As he wondered why, he sat in an empty seat and began to play with the handcuffs someone had left over. Not to be kinky or anything, but they were fun to play with.

Both putting them on someone and having them put on himself -not that he was a bottom.

Seungcheol messed around for a bit before noticing someone had sat next to him. There are so many empty seats, why next to me?

Please don't talk to me, please don't talk to me, please don't-

"Hey, are you new?" the man asked. He had a nasally voice, sort of like Jeonghan's but deeper.

"Sort of, I just came last week," he answered as he avoided eye contact.

"Oh, nice. What's your name?"

"Seungcheol."

"I'm Jonghyun. You look familiar."

"Do you know Choi Seungyeol?" he asked and looked up with a deadpan face.

"Oh, yeah, you related?"

"Unfortunately, so." Seungcheol looked back down. Seungyeol was his oh-so-perfect eldest brother. They were always told they looked similar but their personalities couldn't be any more different. Seungyeol was obsessed with justice, mostly for the fame, and graduated top of his class from the best police academy in the country. He wanted Seungcheol to do the same but just to defy him, he joined a gang and eventually became their leader.

"Tell him I said hi, I haven't seen him in a while." Neither have I. "But anyways, what brings you here?"

"Just wanted to see what it's like. You?"

"I'm actually one of the trainers but I'm on break."

Seungcheol looked up, confused. Jonghyun didn't look any older than him but he was a trainer?

"Surprised?"

"Sort of. You look young."

"I sort of am but I graduated early." Obviously. "And age doesn't matter to them."
