"Gina, where's the fucking Tylenol", Kelliana yelled out, the pain in her head coming in all at once. She never should've drank so much last night.

Said no one ever.

"Girl, you lucky my brothers are out and my parents went to church or else our asses would've been spanked", Gina yells back as she enters the room with the pills in one hand and a water bottle in the other.

Kelliana pokes her tongue out at her and grabs the pills and bottle, downing the Tylenol straight away and chasing it down with water. A few seconds later she can feel the pills doing it's magic.

"You okay now?", Gina said, hinting the double meaning.

"Yeah, I'm feeling okay. But I would feel even better if you make me breakfast?", Kelliana suggested, pouting her lips at Gina who was rolling her eyes.

"Fiiine. I'll be back with a plate of food for you", Gina heaved as she tended to her broken hearted best friend needs.

Kelliana gave her a huge smile and thanked her repeatedly as she left the room. She was grateful for Gina and everything they've been through together. Although they just met two years ago, it seemed they knew each other forever. Unlike other fake and envious girls that tried to befriend Kelliana, Gina was the only one that could understand and put up with her type of personality.

As she could smell the aroma of pancakes wafting it's way upstairs and inside the room, Kelliana's belly rumbled.

She laid back in bed, thinking over what they were going to do today. She checked her phone to see if she had received any notifications from a specific someone but instead saw two missed calls from her mother. "Shit", she swore under her breath as she sat up and dialled the number back.

"Kelliana?"

"Hi mo-"

"Where the hell are you?"

Kelliana bit her lip at the her tone.

"Gina and I had to work on an assignment so I slept at her house", she lied, hoping that her mother wouldn't be so harsh on her now.

"You should've called me to say that you were going over to her house. You had me so worried."

"Sorry mom, I'll promise I'll never do that again", Kelliana assured. Her mind was so messed up and blank last night that she completely forgot to leave a note for her mother. The thought of making her mother worry over her all night made her head ache again.

"You better. I'm going to come and pick you up right now-"

"No! Uh no, no, it's okay mom. Gina can drop me off", Kelliana insisted, not wanting her mother to come by so early.

"Hmm, alright fine. Be back before sunset, okay Kelliana?"

"Yes."

"Ok, I love you baby. Your cheesecake is still waiting in the refridgerator."

"Thanks mom, bye love you."

Then she hanged up the phone.

Kelliana breathed a sigh of relief, glad that her mother didn't go off at her head. Gina entered the room with a plate full of golden pancakes drizzled in maple syrup and butter with a dash of whipped cream and strawberries, drawing the attention of a hungry Kelliana.

"Oh yes!"

"Eat up chica, this is the only time I'll be cooking food for you."

They both chuckled as Kelliana began to devour the delicious pancakes. "Mhm, these are so good", she complimented Gina.
