"Jayden, you work here?" I muttered which elicited a small giggle from Avery.

"Yes, honey. Now, what can I do for you today?" He smiled down at me, my mouth was slightly agape at the sight of him.

I took in Jayden's appearance, he was wearing a purple silk shirt, which the colour really set off against his skin and the top three buttons were undone. His shirt was neatly tucked into his black formal trousers which were adorned with a belt that had a sparkling silver buckle on it. Finally, Jayden's attire was finished off with black loafers and a name badge on his shirt.

"Or should we say who is going to be doing you after we've shopped for you," Jayden's words brought my eyes back up to his, clearly he knew my eyes had wandered over his appearance.

"We both need new underwear," Avery beamed, "the best that you've got."

"Alrighty then, ladies follow me," Jayden said, he came out from behind the counter and headed off into the shop.

"Avs," I whispered, "there's no way I could afford anything in this shop."

"Don't worry about it. I've got Aidan's gold card, so we can get spending."

"Avery," I took hold of her elbow just as she was about to turn around and walk away, "there's no way I could let Aidan buy anything for me."

"He won't mind I promise," she said with a reassuring smile, "besides when he sees what you're buying he definitely won't mind paying when he knows it's for him."

I gave Avery an eye-roll and she quickly ran over to catch up to Jayden who was already busy picking select items out for us. I let out a deep breath and then looked around the shop, there were about six other people in the store; a group of three women together, a loving couple and a man on his own.

The group of women were laughing and joking as they pulled out pieces of clothing from the racks and held them up to their bodies before they placed them back and found something else. The couple were holding hands, his other hand glided along the rail but didn't pull anything out. Clearly, they were looking for something specific as he kept giving her a peck on the forehead in reassurance.

The man that was standing by himself shuffled from foot to foot, obviously nervous as he picked out items, gave them a quick glance over and then put them back before he hesitated to pull them out again. He wanted to buy something but was just too shy about it. It almost made me want to go over there, pick it out of his hands and go pay for him.

His eyes lifted up and met mine, blush covered my cheeks when I realised I had been caught watching him. I was quickly about to look away but he got there first. This stranger was too embarrassed to look me in the eyes even though I'd probably never see him again.

His hazel eyes looked back towards the rack of lingerie, as though he pretended that our little bashful collision of gazes didn't happen. Maybe he had the right idea. I needed to stop staring at him and go face my own embarrassment.

I looked over to where I had last seen Jayden standing and neither Avery nor him was there anymore. My eyes scooted around the room, the racks of lingerie were all in colour-coordinated sections. Finally, my eyes landed on them in the red section, I took a deep breath in because I was a composed, mature, sexually contented person who could walk past the crotchless knickers without getting flustered.

Or maybe not.

By the time I had caught up with them Jayden had a stack of items in his hands and was now breezing past all the black underwear. He randomly picked out pieces, clearly, he knew what he was looking for as he put the skills that got him this job to use.
