"Good evening, Commander Ren." You greeted as you entered his chambers. You had recently been appointed as his personal assistant around the ship. Kylo Ren had taken a liking to you during your days as a maid, he enjoyed the way you spoke to him like he was human instead of a monster.
"Good evening, (Y/N)." He replied, not looking up to meet you. It had been an extremely long, tiring day, and Kylo had just really needed a break from the imbeciles on this ship. He sat with his head in his hands, clearly stressed out.
"So, I take it your meeting with Hux went well?" You smiled, gaining a sigh from Kylo as you sat next to him, knowing during times like this he tended to enjoy the conversations.
"He has got to be the most idiotic man I have ever encountered." He growled. Spotting several tight knots and tangles in his hair, you reached for a comb and began making work of his current rat's nest.
"Well, go on then - tell me about it. What went wrong?" Your voice was kind, and your positive spirit seemed to drive off some of Kylo's frustration. He began discussing the smaller details of the meeting between himself, Hux, and Snoke; while you let him rant, gently combing out his hair, encouraging him to continue with a hum every so often. One of the things that Kylo grew to like the most about you was that you really listened, and actually tried to help solve the problems instead of just sympathising with him.
"He's just jealous of you," You shrugged, finishing up with his hair. "After all, who wouldn't be?" You muttered the last bit, hoping he wouldn't hear - but partially hoping that he would.
"What was that?" He questioned, sounding amused.
"Hm? Oh, nothing, sir." You smiled innocently, before noticing the cut on Kylo's cheek, oozing blood. "Mind if I clean that cut up?" He allowed you to, a shock being sent through his body as your soft hand rested on his cheek as you worked. You had noticed the reaction, though knew better than to bring it up, knowing it was hard for him to be vulnerable. You honestly had begun to treasure the way that he let you in.
"How, uh..." He cleared his throat. "How was your day?" The words sounded foreign coming from him, which made you smile. While you always asked Kylo the small-talk questions, it wasn't until your last few visits that be began to ask them to you, as well. You appreciated the effort more than you could bring yourself to say.
"Oh, a lot of cleaning." You laughed. "One of the maids is ill, so I took over her shifts for the next few days."
"And what if I happen to need you?" You could see the smallest hint of playfulness sparkle in his eyes, leading you to bite the inside of your lip, trying to contain your smile. The flirting was new, as well, though you were growing to love the way Kylo's eyes looked when they were full of lust for you, though there had been nothing physical yet. Secretly, you wondered how far you could tease him before he'd break.
"You know I'm all yours." You allowed your tone to take on a teasing note. In a moment of boldness, you reached out and grabbed Kylo's ungloved hand, squeezing softly.
"(Y/N)?" He spoke up, voice small, after several moments of silence.
"Yes, sir?" Your fluttered your eyelashes at him, letting your thumb rub along his bruised knuckles, not bothering to ask what he had been hitting this time.
"I'd like to kiss you." Without giving a verbal agreement, you leaned in and kissed him. Your boss. The man who was feared on nearly every last planet in the universe. Pulling back after several blissful moments, you spoke softly. "What's stopping you?"
