It was September 2nd, 6:30 am on Monday. Virgil is woken up suddenly by his alarm clock. He groans and shuts it off with a click. He checks his phone seeing if there was any notifications but there wasn't, as there usually wasn't. He sat up and turned on music, skipping songs till he found one he actually wanted to listen to.
After getting dressed Virgil went into the kitchen and got a bowl of cereal and want back to his room. He watches a few YouTube videos as he ate slowly. He checked the time and say it was 7:30 am. School started at 8:30 but he had an half hour bus ride.
His bus was going to be there in five minutes so he shut off his phone and put it in the back pocket of his jeans as he went back out to the kitchen. Virgil set his bowl in the sink and set out for the living room. He grabbed his favourite sweater and his back before putting on black hightops and heading out the door, in time to catch his bus.

The bus ride was as it was normally. A bunch of popular kids gossiping in the back while other friend groups were scattered around the bus. Virgil took his usual spot in to front. It was usually left open so he decided to claim it. The bus made its usually stops and kids would climb on with a smile as they were greatly by their friends. I was busy staring out the window when the bus made an unusual stop. 'New kid' Virgil thought. Looking away from the window, he was greated by a friendly smile. A boy with light fluffly brown hair was sitting with him. The boy had circular glasses that matched his soft look. He had freckles scattered across his skin that had a hit of a tan. He was wearing a light blue polo shirt with light grey shorts and a grey sweater around his waist the outfit tied together with his light blue converse.
"Hi there!" The freckled boy exclaimed.
Virgil blinked away his surprise "Hi..." He said quietly.
"I'm Patton!" He smiled.
"Virgil" he says back. "Are you new?"
"Nope. I moved here a few years ago but moved into a different house and neighborhood just last week."
"Oh. I've never noticed you."
"I was usually driven to school but my parents think I need to socialize more so they put me on the bus."
They continued their conversation, patton doing most of the talking, until they arrived at school. They got of the bus and walked into the school.
"You should meet my friend!" Patton says and pulls Virgil by the arm before he can even answer.
Patton drags Virgil down a hallway, weaving past people. They finally arrive at a set of lockers that were clear except for one boy. He was much taller than Virgil and Patton. Wearing a black polo shirt and navy blue jeans completed with black converse. He had dark brown hair that was neatly swept to the side. The boy had pale skin, not as pale as Virgil's, with black framed glasses resting on his face. The boy was reading a book and only looked up when he heard Patton yell "Logi!"
Patton let go of Virgil and ran over to the boy, throwing his arms around him.
"Hello Patton" the boy chuckled a bit and pushed Patton of him.
"I've missed you! Oh. I want you to meet someone!" Patton said and looked at Virgil.
"Salutations. I'm Logan" he said holding out a hand to Virgil.
"Virgil..." He said a shook Logan's hand.
