The Dragon Queen

That Man

Lucy's POV

I stayed awake after Natsu and I got back to the camp. I couldn't believe he showed me something so beautiful. I know he can be an idiot sometimes but he can be really caring and sweet. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to like him or be ...... in love with him? I laid there thinking to myself.

I got up and started walking back to the top of the hill Natsu showed me. If only my mom were here so I could show this to her. I think she would have loved it.

I continued walking, then I heard something in the trees. I turn around to see what's there. My heart pumping a little faster, since I can't see anyone. I start walking a little faster. Each step I can hear something almost following me. I start running. I finally reached the top of the hill. I place my hands on my knees panting hard to try and catch my breath. I walk over to where Natsu and I were previously sitting. I just looked up at the stars, still amazed how beautiful they looked. I put my back on the ground with my hands under my head and closed my eyes.

* Lucy's dream*
"Mama, mama," a smaller version of Lucy cried out.

"Yes what is it my little princess?" A blonde hair woman appeared from outside Lucy's bedroom.

"Mama I can't sleep, can you tell me the story about the dragon kingdom. With the queen and the princess?" Little Lucy saying excitedly.

Layla laughed walking over to her daughters bed.

"Alright but this is the last one then no more for the night," she said in a playful tone. Sitting next to her daughter she began the story.

"In the dragon kingdom there lived a beautiful queen. In her kingdom, everyone danced and sung from dawn till dusk. She was very happy."

"Was she a dragon, mama?" Lucy asked curiously.

Layla giggled " yes, everyone in the kingdom was a dragon, but the queen could do something extraordinary, she could turn from a dragon to a human."

Lucy's eyes gazed at her mother in amazement. " Was she the most powerful dragon?"

"She indeed was, no one could match her power, not even dragons from other kingdoms. One day the queen met another dragon with similar powers to her own. Days, months and years went by they fell in love and had a baby girl. The family was happy.

But the happiness didn't last very long. Since the queen gave birth to the most powerful baby girl in the whole universe she knew other dragons would want to kidnap her for their own heir mostly to use her magic for evil. The evil dragons did in fact come for her baby. The king sacrificed himself so his family can escape. The queen and the princess did escape to a whole new place. To keep her daughters safety she locked her powers away until she turned 18. Meaning her dragon powers and the ability to transform was gone until her 18th birthday."

"Woooow, I want to meet the princess" little Lucy exclaimed.

Layla giggled stroking her daughters face" oh Lucy you hold great power within you." she kisses her on the forehead and leaves Lucy's bedroom.

* dream over*

I open my eyes realizing I've only been asleep for 30 min. "Huh, I miss you mom." I get up and start walking back down to the camp.

I'm almost at the camp site when I heard the strange noises coming from behind the trees. I stopped in place with my hand over my keys, just in case a monster pops out. Why didn't I think of this about an hour ago?

A man appeared out of the trees. He had short spiky black hair, his scar stretched from the top right of his forehead to his right cheek bone. His eyes were Amber. He wore a grey shirt with black pants and black boots.

I was startled by his presents at first. He looked up at me in confusion and shock. His eyes grew wide, then said "princess?" He jolted as if his whole body were in pain. A bright white light appeared all around him. He was gone in an instant.

I continued to the camp and finally got there. Everyone was still sleeping, Happy curled next to Erza, Natsu snoring loudly, Gray sleeping on a tree. I sat next to the burning flame, who was that man, and why did he call me princess?

??? POV

*in the dragon kingdom*

"My king we have captured the escaped prisoner."

"Excellent, bring him to me at once," I said, putting my fingers through my fiery red hair.

I see my guards approaching with the prisoner. Chains covering him from head to toe. The guards threw the prisoner before me, "kneel before your king."

"So how did you manage to escape from the prison Tagatac? For that crime is punishable by death. State you last words," I exclaimed.

"Your excellency, if I may plead for my life, but I think I found the lost princess," Tagatac stated.

I put my hand under my chin, interested in what he had to say. "You say you found the lost princess, continue."

"Your majesty, when I was in Earthland, I stumbled into the Mayberry forest and I came across a young girl. Excellency, I have no doubt in my mind that the girl I saw was indeed the lost princess." He said, pleading for his life.

"Alright then, you will take me to Earthland to find this 'lost princess' and if she isn't her I will have you executed, but if that is her you will be rewarded greatly," I mentioned.

"Thank you, your majesty," he bowed kissing my feet.

I waved my hand away, signaling that everyone in the room was dismissed except my nobleman. "Do you think that she can be alive?" He said

I sighed ," it is possible that she could be alive after the incident that happened 9 years ago, but we are destined to be wed after all. Her father made a deal with my father before she disappeared. I want you to go with the prisoner to see if this girl really is the lost princess."

"Understood you majesty," he bowed then walked away.

After all this time she will finally be my wife, the great a powerful dragon princess will finally be mine. I gave out an evil laugh.
