🐎Chapter 3🐎 I was at the house outside sitting on the bench swing. I heard sounds & followed it. I saw this beautiful black horse:

I went up to it after I got a carrot. I offered him the carrot & it followed me back. I found a red & black halter & put it on the horse. "Bubba!" I yelled excited. Bubba came out seeing the horse. He came over & petted it's head. "I need to clean out a stall for him." I said putting it in a fenced in area where he could run around. I followed Bubba as we cleaned a stall out for him. I had ordered horse food treats & riding tack. We had tons of hay so I wasn't worried about that. I put the food in a feeder & water in another inside the stall. I brought him inside the stall closing the door locking it. Bubba stood with me. "I'll name you Shadow." I said signing his name. He nodded his big head as he liked it. I left with Bubba as the others arrived. "You see very happy Samhain. Whats gotten into ya?" Dray asked. "I'll show you all." I said running to the barn. I put the lead on Shadows halter & led him out the barn. The rest of the family stood shocked seeing him. "This is Shadow. I found him earlier today." I said. "He's beautiful Samhain." Mama said rubbing him. "Can I keep him?" I asked. "Of course. He makes you happy." Dray grinned. I hugged him excited & hugged Shadow. I put Shadow up for the night & planned on making a bigger pasture for him & painting it.
The next day I put Shadow in the only gated pasture here. I found a the perfect spot on the property & got to work painting the wood. The panels are red & the posts are black. I sat down to take a break. The guys said they'd help put it together. After 2 days of painting & 3 days of it drying Drayton Bubba & Nubs helped put it together. I took Shadow inside & he ran around loving the bigger space. We got the ac working in the barn. We went inside to eat dinner. Afterwards I put Shadow away for the night making sure he had enough fresh food & water & cleaned his stall out. I showered falling asleep on my bed. Bubba came in covering me up & laid with me.

I put Shadows tack on & dreaded to Drayton's gas station. I got there & put Shadow on a shaded area with a bucket of water for him. I went inside looking for Dray. I saw him come from the back. "Can you run the front for me?" Dray asked. "Sure." I said going behind the counter. "How did you get here so fast?" Drayton asked. "Shadow" I grinned. Dray laughed going in the back. I saw a fresh carrot & went to Shadow. I fed him as a car pulled in. I rubbed Shadow splashing some water on him to cool him off. "Hey. Is that your horse?" A guy asked coming over with 3 others. "What do you think?" I asked him heading inside. They followed me as I went behind the counter. "We were needing some gas. I'm Billy. These are my friends, Andy, Tasha Ned & Janet." Billy said. "No gas here. Won't get another shipment until sometime next week." I said to him. "But you're the only gas station for miles." Billy said. "Look I'm sorry. But we have none." I said to him crossing my arms. "Well I wouldn't buy anything from a freak anyway." Tasha said rudely. "Honey have you checked a mirror lately? You would be lucky they don't laugh & mirrors don't lie." I said to her. She looked shocked at my comeback. "Tasha shut up! Sorry bout her." Andy said. "Can't help she's stupid." I said shrugging. "Well thanks for the help." Billy said. "We never got your name." Andy said. "Samhain." I said. "Thanks Samhain." Janet said as they left. I growled as Drayton came in. "Well you handled that very well. Tasha was speechless. I'll give Mama a call. Go ahead & head home." Dray said. I nodded still seeing the group near. I got on Shadow as Andy pointed to me. I took off with Shadow in a gallop & purposefully made dirt hit Tasha as Shadow passed by. I laughed as I ran home. Once I got to the house Bubba Uncle Monty & Mama came out. "Dray said a group of teens gave you a hard time." Mama said coming over with Bubba. "Just a girl named Tasha." I said dismounting Shadow & kissed Bubba. I took Shadow to the barn & gave him a bath & put him in his stall to relax. "See you later buddy" I said leaving the barn. I went inside as the group pulled up. Dray had arrived before them. Bubba had my car hidden in the back since I have Shadow. I was outside while the family was inside the house. Billy & his friends got out the car. Tasha saw me first as she broke from the group. The others were inside the house getting killed. Tasha pushed me as I sat up glaring at her. I stood up ready to fight. "Time to teach you respect." Tasha said. "Respect is earned. Not given." I said to her. She huffed trying to slap me. I dodged kicking her in the stomach. She groaned getting up as I punched her unconscious. I dragged her inside seeing Janet already tied to a chair. Bubba took Tasha from me tying her up. "You got her good Samhain." Nubs said laughing. "She tried to sneak attack & pushed me thinking I'd get stunned." I said hugging Bubba. He hugged back making sounds. We waited for the girls to wake up as we ate dinner. Not long after they woke up freaked out. We taunted them a bit & Bubba took them down to the basement. I sat down & sang a song:
