Chapter 5:

Liam's POV:

I woke up to the movement of rustling sheets next to me. I picked my head up, and scanned the room. This was definitely not mine, with the pink frilly posters on the wall, and neatly folded clothes in the drawers. I looked to my right, and saw Amy asleep next to me. I breathed a sigh of relief, finally remembering where I was.

She stirred and picked her head off of the pillow, looking at me and weakly smiling.

"Hey.." She said in a sleepy voice. Her voice is so cute! I thought.

"Hey,"  I responded.

She looked at the clock on the bedside table. Her smile turned to a frown as she read the time.

"What is it?" I asked picking myself off the bed. Her blue eyes were still focused on the clock, a disappointed expression on her face.

I turned my head to look in the direction her eyes were fixed on. Had we really slept that long? It was 9:15.

I looked at Amy with a puzzled expression. She reverted her gaze from the clock back to me. I chuckled a bit, but her face remained straight and serious. I stopped and looked at her dead in the eyes.

"Umm.. Liam, I think you need to get going.." She said while jumping out of the bed, and walking over to the door. She turned around. Her eyes were full of... anger, regret, sadness, heartbreak? I couldn't tell. It was probably a combination. I grabbed my jacket from the ground and walked over to where she was standing.

She slowly opened the door for me, ushering me to go out. I reluctantly followed her orders and stepped out of the room. Just as she was about to close the door, I turned around to face her and put my foot out, stopping the door.

"Goodnight Amy," I said in a still sleepy voice.

She looked at me, and barely smiling, she replied, "Goodnight Liam."

We both stood there for a few moments, staring into eachother's eyes. I never wanted to break my gaze from her, ever.

She turned her head towards the ground, and slowly stepped back. She smiled one last time before quietly closing the door.

I stood outside of her room for a few minutes, smiling to myself like an idiot. I was then interrupted by a quiet voice coming from behind me, making me jump.

"So you really like her, don't you?"

I turned around to see who it was. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw Charlotte standing behind me. She stepped forward towards her and Maggie's room, and asked once again,

"So do you fancy her, or not? Answer the question."

I didn't know how to respond. The truth is, I didn't even know myself.
