Lydia found that going out with the Leafs was an experience. She had gone out with Alex and Auston in Arizona, usually with some of the Coyotes players who knew the boy, but it was completely different than being out with the team after a home game win. Lydia, Auston, and Freddie had headed to the two's apartment to get changed. When Lydia had asked Freddie what people usually wore out, she pouted when he told her many people dressed up to the nines.
Lydia ended up in a leather mini skirt and a mesh black bodysuit that had a lace insert under it, keeping it decent. She wore her hair up in a ponytail, knowing she got very hot very quick in clubs. Grabbing her booties, she headed to the living room where the boys were already sitting on the couch talking, Auston with a drink in hand and Freddie sipping on his water.
"You boys ready?" Lydia asked as she went into the kitchen to pour herself a shot to get started.
"Damn Lyd," Auston whistled "Looking good, I think Fred stopped breathing."
"Oh my god stop," Lydia rolled her eyes as she grabbed a shot glass, turning to grab her liquor from the fridge and startling when she bumped into Freddie's wide chest. "Oh god, you scared me-" Lydia's sentence was cut off as Freddie leaned down and cupped the back of her neck, pulling her lips to his. She sighed into the kiss, letting his tongue slide into her own mouth as his other arm wrapped tightly around her waist.
"Guys really," Auston whined, making Freddie pull back and rest his forehead against hers. "Sorry," he breathed "You just looked so good I couldn't help myself."
"Oh my god," Lydia giggled, burying her head in his chest, pulling away before Auston got sassy again. "Do you want a shot?" She asked breathlessly, staring into his eyes.
"No thanks babe," he unwrapped his arms from her waist, turning to grab the Vodka out of the freezer. "I'm driving tonight."
"Aw," Lydia pouted, pouring a shot and yelling at Auston to come to join her. They took two shots each before Freddie announced that they should leave to be able to meet up with the rest of the group. The three headed to the garage and hopped into Freddie's car, Lydia, of course, grabbing shotgun and hooking her phone up to the aux, ignoring Auston's whining as she put on her favorite pre-game playlist and sang away as Freddie's hand drifted over the center console to grip her thigh.
They parked near the bar and walked in, immediately spotting the group of players and their friends and significant others. Auston cleared the way as Lydia followed him with Freddie practically plastered to her back. Auston immediately drew Mitch into a bro hug and Lydia veered left when she spotted Stef and Alannah. "Do you want me to grab you a drink?" Freddie whispered in her ear when he saw where she was headed.
"Yeah, a captain and coke?" Lydia smiled up at the ginger as he nodded his agreement, kissing him on the cheek quickly before turning back to the girls. Steph whistled as the blonde blushed and joined their little corner. "Stop it," Lydia whined as Alannah giggled at her embarrassment.
"When are you gonna lock that down babe?" Steph winked as she threw back some of her drink as Lydia sputtered through her words.
"I don't know, I mean I'd be down but what if this isn't serious for him and what if-"
"Oh my god Lydia," Alannah interrupted her rambling and placed a calming hand on her shoulder. "That man looks at you like you hung the moon, I don't think you need to worry about him not thinking its serious."
"Yeah but," Lydia was cut off as Steph greeted Freddie as he returned with her drink. "Thanks," she murmured, sipping on her drink and looking at him through her lashes as he winked at her.
"Do you want to sit down?" He asked, nudging his head towards the table a few of the guys and their girls were sitting at, including Auston, Steph, and Mitch.
"Yeah!" Lydia grabbed his hand and tugged him towards the table and faltered as she saw there was only one chair left. She found herself being tugged along as Freddie proceeded to grab the chair and pull Lydia into his lap. "Fred I don't want to squish you," the girl pouted as Freddie barked out a laugh.
"Shut up I can barely feel you," Freddie tapped her hip as they tuned into the conversation around the table.
"You guys want to play truth or dare?" Mitch asked them, and Lydia was tempted to say no with the glint in his eye but Freddie answered yes before Lydia could so much as narrow her eyes at the brunette. The game started out pretty tame, shots being had and kisses being handed out before things got dicey.
"Lydia, truth or dare," Zach asked as the blonde swirled her drink around.
"Truth," Lydia watched him as he seemed to savor her answer and begin to think of a question for her.
"Have you ever gotten in a fight with Auston where you guys like didn't talk?" Lydia laughed as she looked at her best friend who was already grinning.
"Oh yes," She chuckled as Zach gestured for her to continue. "Auston beat the shit out of one of my boyfriends when we were in Highschool and I got so mad that I didn't talk to him and I told Ema. But turns out it was because the guy was cheating and once I found out I cried in Auston car and begged him to forgive me."
"Hey, Matthews can be nice sometimes!" Mo chirped as Auston rolled his eyes and finished his beer.
A few turns later it was time for Freddie. "Freddie truth or dare?" Alannah asked, winking at Lydia who was just plain confused.
"Dare," Alannah barely let him finish before she responded, "I dare you to kiss our dear Lydia."
Freddie chuckled before wrapping his palm around Lydia's chin from where she was glaring at Alannah and pulled her lips to his. Ignoring the cheers from their table, Lydia raked her nails along Fred's scalp and hummed against the gentle probe of his tongue, nibbling on his bottom lip before pulling back. "I think we should get out of here," Lydia whispered, jumping up as Freddie nodded enthusiastically.
"See you losers," Lydia waved over her shoulder as their friends laughed and watched Freddie yank her out of the door.
