"There's talk of a new weapon in imperial communication." Commander Sato started. "And there's talk that it's the only thing that can eliminate us. The entire rebel fleet."

"Commander, what exactly is this weapon?" Hera Syndulla asled.

"We have no idea, but if the weapon is as grotesque as you say, there is no doubt, but to destroy it. Whatever this weapon is it has the potential to spark new ideas within the Empire of a more destructive degree. I have a bad feeling about all this." Ahsoka Tano said with her hand on her chin.

"If it hasn't been talked about for that long, then it probably hasn't been in development very long either." Sabine Wren interjected.

"Or it was top secret and only those of high clearance were in on it." added Kanan Jarrus.

"Either way, we have to destroy it, because after we're out, who knows who'll this weapon will target next." Commander Sato told us.

"Hera, I want the ghost crew on this one. Something tells me you all have experience with this sort of thing." Ahsoka said, turning to Hera.

"Of course. We'll be ready for take off as soon as possible." Hera said before giving her crew a look and they were out of there in no time.

Hopefully, they were getting ready for a takeoff. And when Hers came back, they were all set in the Ghost ready to get going. It seemed like destroying a weapon was exactly what they were doing over the weekend. It sure beats hiking over a ravine which is what they were going to do (well Kanan and Ezra were going to do it, Zeb and Sabine were going to watch).

"So, what's the plan?" Kanan asked.

**

Infiltrating the base had been the easy part. Finding where the weapon was located. That wsd the hard part. Sabine, Chopper, and Seb went one way, up towards the communication deck while Kanan and Ezra went down a hall towards a command center. Sabine, once arrived at the communication deck with all the intell, looked through the computer to find where the weapon is.

"That's strange." she whispered to herself.

"What is it?" Zeb asked.

"This says the weapon isn't here. I can't find it! But I did find something referred to as Project Snowfall in the prisoner levels of the base. It might be a trap." Sabine told them.

Zeb commed Kanan. "Spectre 4 to Spectre 2. Spectre 5 believes that this whole weapons thing is actually a trap."

From Kanan and Ezra's position fighting off a couple stormtroopers, Kanan heard them while Ezra was becoming distracted by something. Once the stormtroopers were no longer a problem, Kanan acknowledged Zeb's statement. He turned to Ezra to see him staring down a hallway.

"Kanan, do you sense that?" Ezra asked.

"It's a lot of fear. And a lot of suffering." Kanan said nodding even though Ezra couldn't see him.

"But no anger or hatred. Just fear and suffering." Ezra said still facing the same direction.

"And something else." Kanan ssid. "But I can't quite put my finger on it."

"Loneliness." And with that, Ezra Bridger ran down the hallway towards whatever it was that was attracting him.

Kanan cursed under his breath, informed his comrades to go back to ship and he'll be there shortly, and ran after his padawan apprentice. Kanan found Ezra standing still in front of a door. A prisoner's cell. A prisoner's door. But this one was different. Because there was a nameplate next to the door with the words Project: Snowfall written on it.

"Ezra, what's wrong?" Kanan asked.

And with that question, the door opened to reveal a room. A room with walls covered in ice and frost. A room with snow in piles in random places on the ground. A room with dolls and sction figures sprawled all over the floor. Clothes thrown everywhere and anywhere. Girl clothes. Fit for a teenager. The two Jedi looked around the room to find a bookshelf, a dresser, a knightstand, a bed, a closet (the door was opened), a bathroom, and a pile of blankets, and pillows.

They turned themselves around to be met with a chair, a mini-fridge and pantry, a pile of dtuff animals, a toy chest, and a girl. A girl with [H/C] hair, tattered clothes, [S/C] skin, [E/C] eyes, and a terrified look on her face. She was clenching two items to her chest and her foot was on another thing.

"Kanan." Ezra turned to him.

"I know, kid." Kanan (with an arm outstretched) walked up to her.

Actually, he tried to walk up to her. She scurried away from his faster than lightning. Still with her three precious items in or near her grasp.

"You want to give it a try?" Kanan asked turning towards his apprentice.

Ezra held out a hand and walked towards her. She did the same thing to him that she did to Kanan. She was clesrly afrsid. And clearly suffering from the marks on her arms and her face. They could not see her legs to say it was the same.

"It's okay. I'm a friend. I'm here to help." He told her.

She shook her head and shrunk more away from him. He sighed snd still had his arm outstretched to her.

"It's okay. It's going to be alright. I'm Ezra. This is Kanan. We can help you. With your fear. With your suffering. You just have to trust us. We can help." He told her.

She still shrunk away, and he took a deepbreath. He might as well change his approach to the girl. He held out his hand. This time like he was ready for someone, her, to take it. She stared at his hand before looking at both of hers. She didn't know what to do. The girl had been told she was dangerous. The girl had been told that no one would be there to help her, to lend a hand.

And Ezra knew this. Which is why he was surprised when she did take his hand.  He smiled at her and helped her to her feet. The girl stumbled up and fell down. Her legs were too badly injured to keep her upright.

"Just carry her, Ezra. On your back." Kanan told him.

Ezra picked the girl up and placed her on his back. But she seemed to be reaching for something. A black teddy bear. Ezra groaned and picked up the small, seeming meaningless toy to the girl who held it in her arms while on the padawan's back.

"Now, can we get out of here?" asked Kanan.

Ezra nodded. "Yeah."

And the two of them left the cell and ran towards where the Ghost was. Sabine was waiting for them. And it was kind of scary that there were no stormtroopers shooting at them for the entire time.

"Wait. Who's that with you?" Sabine asked as the four of them ran onto the ship and Hera took off.

"We found her in a holding cell. We rescued her." Ezra told her.

"And what do you think we'll do with her?"

"We'll just tell Hera that the weapon was a trap and it turned into a rescue mission." Ezra said as the Ghost went into hyperspace.
