"Alright lad are you ready?" Lumiere called out to the young man that appeared sheepishly fixing his attire. When he had shifted to his human form his servants quickly took him to get ready. Showering, trimming his hair, putting essential oil for a nice touch. Within minutes he was freshly done.

"I guess." Hiccup rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Come on lad you look dashing especially with the cloak."

He had to admit the clothing was amazing, it's gold lining and embroidery was delicately placed on the hems. The gold buttons running down his chest neatly and the silk black fabric touched his skin pleasantly. His cloak was stood in place by his kingdom crest to his right shoulder.

"You are just missing one thing lad." Lumiere observed the young mans expression which turned to confusion.

"What's missing?" Hiccup asked, suddenly his confusion turning to panic. Thinking that maybe he doesn't look presentable, he started to fumble with his attire trying to see what's out of place. Maybe the cloak is too much.

"What I meant master is you're missing this." Lumiere pointed his candle hands towards a case that opened on his signal revealing a golden crown fit for a king. It held five points that waved with smaller points. At top of each big point wrapped around small diamonds hugging it in place. The bottom lining consisted of five emeralds going around it. The gold itself was made out of carvings of ancient Viking symbols each one with its own story.

Hiccup's breath hitched at the sight of his father's crown that he also once wore. He didn't ever believe he would see it again or at that matter wear it. At the beginning he order the crown to be locked away from his view. He couldn't bare to see it, reminding him of his mistakes and the failure he was, the broken promises he tore apart. And too see it once again in front of him all those feelings rushed back in his mind following the horror memories he held.

He gave out a sigh as his face wince at the memories.
"I don't think I should Lumiere."

"Ah my boy it's time for new beginnings, let this be the night where we leave things in the past."

"It's easier said than done."

"I'm sure your father would want you to wear this at least once more. True you can't change your past life but he would tell you that from here on out you can write a better one. There's always a new beginning start to form when the moon shines brightest knowing a new day would soon come."

Hiccup gazed at the crown and took a sigh in defeat and gave slight nod to his trusted servant. Lumiere smiled joyfully and gave out a signal for the magical servants to put the crown on Hiccup. Hiccup kneeled to the level of the table making it easier to access his head. He suddenly felt the heaviness of the royal attire and his breath hitched as his mind went back to the past. It took him awhile to compose himself and the unwanted memories to settle back to where he has kept them.

"Lad are you alright?" Lumiere had become worried when his master had closed his eyes making an anxious expression.

Hiccup opened his eyes like he had been drowning on his memories. His trusted servant voice bringing him back to the present.

"Y-Yes I'm alright." Hiccup stood up and cleared his throat. Lumiere could only watch the young boy compose himself not wanting to ask, knowing there wasn't anything he could say to take away the lad's past, but one thing for sure he was certain that tonight will let the boy see he can move, he can be the happy again. As much as he had hope he knew it wasn't going to be easy for Hiccup to accept leaving everything behind including his dear ones. He sighed at the thought.

"Are you ready lad."

"Do I look ready." Hiccup questioned.

"You've been ready since the day she arrived."
Lumiere smiled at his master......yes he was ready but his heart........was not.
