"gimme another kiss." jeno mumbled against jaemin's lips, feeling the younger giggle at how clingy he was being. jaemin rolled his eyes playfully, softly taking jeno's face and moving him a little bit away so they could properly look at each other.
"i gave you 'another kiss' ten kisses ago," jaemin whined. "i'm just gonna go get something to drink, i'll be back in a second okay?" he assured, since this whole thing started because jeno didn't want him to go without getting a kiss goodbye.
the older just kissed jaemin again as his response, eventually standing up so that he was holding him in his arms. "... i'll take you then." jeno told, feeling the younger wrap himself around his body and place his head on his shoulder.
it was summer break, and the couple were enjoying a date together alone. shuhua and soojin offered the take the baby girls to the mall so that jeno and jaemin could enjoy themselves without any worries. they did plan an actual date to head out together, but ended up just cuddling in bed watching whatever popped up on the television.
jeno made his way into the kitchen, setting jaemin down on the counter and getting him a glass of water. the younger just watched him with pure adoration in his eyes, his heart forever fluttering at the way he took care of him. jeno turned around and wordlessly asked for what he always wanted before giving jaemin something.
jaemin giggled, pulling the older into his arms and placing a big, playful kiss on his lips. jeno set the glass of water down and snaked his arms around jaemin's small waist, realizing just how much he treasured being able to do things like this with him.
".. thank you." the younger mumbled against jeno's lips, taking a sip from the glass of water while gazing at the older with utter and obvious heart eyes that were only for him. jeno nuzzled his face into the crook of jaemin's neck, hugging him lovingly while he drank the water. the younger leaned up against him as well, using his free hand and running it through jeno's soft hair. they remained like that for a while, up until jaemin was done.
he kissed the younger's nose and carried him back to their room where they sank into bed. the younger brought his arms around jeno's neck and peppered kisses all over his face, making him giggle a bit. in turn jeno just held him closer, just never getting tired of it. if he had a chance to be like this with jaemin everyday, he would certainly take it. since everything that had gone down with jaemin's family, school work stacking up, final exams approaching, and the constant need of careful attention to care for and look after yoora and areum, jeno and jaemin hadn't been able to spend much time together without any worries or things to do. they had been sufficiently busy.
".. i'm so thankful for you," jaemin whispered softly, pecking the older's lips and pulling away with a pink tint staining his cheeks. "you were the dream that i guess, in a way i was hopelessly waiting for.. and i love you." he said, growing too shy to look jeno in the eye so he looked down at their interlaced hands. an unfortunate move on his part, because he didn't get to see the beaming smile grow on jeno's face.
"saying you're my boyfriend doesn't do enough justice, baby. you're so much more than that to me, and i hope i can show it to you as time goes by." the older gently tilted jaemin's head up so the two met eyes. "i love you too. i love you with the kind of love that's more than just that."
jaemin cooed at the sweet words, feeling jeno bring him in for a hug. his arms were warm and safe and protective, something jaemin always felt when he was in them. he wanted to be with jeno and with jeno only. the boy holding him was his everything and he was not afraid to admit it at all.
the couple shared another loving kiss, just completely into themselves and forgetting the world that was around them. jaemin could feel his heartbeat speed up, the way it usually did whenever he kissed jeno. the two steadily disconnected after a little bit, jeno nuzzling himself into the younger's chest with his arms still around his waist. jaemin ran his hand through jeno's silky hair gently, knowing that he really liked it when he did that. and the pair eventually ended up falling asleep from all the warmth and tranquility that was in their room.
after an hour or two, shuhua walked into the room with soojin behind her and the baby girls to her side. they came home to the silent house and at first thought that jeno and jaemin were still out, yet realized that their things were still in the house. they checked around the home and called their names out a few times before finding them entangled together and sleeping. she looked towards the two with a small smile, never recalling a moment jaemin had fallen asleep so at ease and so peacefully.
"we'll let them rest for now..." shuhua whispered, gently patting yoora and areum's heads. ".. who wants to watch a movie!?" soojin asked in a whisper. the babies nodded excitedly, and took each of soojin's hands. she looked at her girlfriend, who only gave a look of approval. soojin soon was in the kitchen with the babies, and shuhua walked closer into the room. the girl took his best friend's blankets and draped them over him and his boyfriend. she was so happy jaemin was able to open himself up after closing himself off for so long. she was so happy jeno stuck with him through everything that had been happening to him and his attitudes, because she knew how he could be at time. she was so happy that her best friend finally found love.
shuhua looked over them for a brief moment, before closing the door with a soft smile spreading across her lips.
