Chapter Six
. Best friend
"ANTHONY! GET YO BEHIND UP RIGHT NOW!" I shot up at the loud yelling, holding my head when the light from the window hits me.
"Ugh." someone moaned next to me, I looked over to see August throwing a pillow over his head.
I raise an eyebrow to myself and look down, I frown once I see I'm in a red t-shirt and white Ralph Lauren boxer briefs, what the hell?
"AUGUST ANTHONY ALSINA JR IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS UP RIGHT NOW!" The voice makes me jump, it's way to early for this.
I yawn and rub the sleep from my eyes, stretching my arms. I tap August lightly on the chest, he makes no attempt to move.
I smack his chest harder and he shoots up, throwing the pillow to the floor in the process. "Ugh what the fuck!" He groans, rubbing his eyes. He's caught in mid yawn when he sees me, his eyes widen unexpectedly.
"Did we?"
"Nah, ain't no way."
"Oh God my head is on ten." I mumble, placing a hand to my forehead.
"I second that." He says, pulling the covers back and sitting up against the headboard.
"AUG-"
"I'M UP MA DAMN!" August yells, making me jump again and hold my head in my hands. I close my eyes and rub my temples to try and relieve myself of some of the pounding.
"My bad." He says, getting up from the bed.
"It's fine." I sigh, rubbing my temples at a more urgent pace, this shit is for the birds.
"Breakfast is on the table, I want you down here in ten minutes, if you're not I'm coming up and it won't be pretty!" The woman shouts up the stairs.
I look over at August, raising an eyebrow.
"That's my ma, and she ain't on no games, c'mon let's go eat befo she kill us." He says, rummaging through his drawers for something, he pulls out two pairs of sweats and throws one at me.
I slide out of the bed and slip the sweats on, I bring my hands up to my hair and can already tell it's a hot ass mess.
"What will she say when she sees me?" I ask, attempting to untangle my hair with my fingers.
August shrugs, "Ion know, probably nothing since she already seen you last night." He says, tying up his sweat pants.
I raise a questioning eyebrow at him as I pull my hair up into a loose ponytail. "She seen me last night?" I ask. He nods, I frown. "How? I'm confused." I say.
"When we was walking in last night, you threw up all 'ova 'ya'self and she had to help me clean you up, that's why you wearin' My clothes." He says, stepping into his Jordan slides.
"...Oh." I say, that is so embarrassing, he's probably thinking I can't hold my liquor.
"Yeah.. we had a lot to drink... and smoke last night." He laughs, looking back at me as he opens his door.
"Oh God, I was drunk and high? What have you done to me!" I playfully slap his arm, "Grams was right, you are a bad influence." I smirk, following him down the steps.
He looks back at me with a stale face, "You the one that started it." He accuses, jumping down the last few steps.
"Mhm whatever." I say, playfully rolling my eyes.
