My family and I live in a place that was once a place anyone and anything could love. But when the country was dominated by our enemy, everything changed. Cold, heartless, arrogant, and cruel, our new leader forced us to live his way, to live in his rule. And with a new leader came new rules.
1) No one is allowed out after 9:00p.m.~punishment if caught~whipping.
2) Women are not allowed to drive cars~punishment if caught~whipping.
3) No children whatsoever~punishment to both child(ren) and parent(s)~death
But my parents disobeyed the rules. They had me, even though they could die if the patrolmen found me. They were brave, but they set a bad example for me. I disobeyed all of the rules. I was always out after 9:00, I always drove a car, and I disobeyed the last rule ever since I was born.
How my parents kept me hidden I will never know, but I know this: the older I get, the harder it is for them to keep me hidden from the world.
