Soulmates, the only thing that makes the world go around. The love of the person fated to be with you, and only you.
They'll make you feel special and you'd do the same for them. You'd live and die for the. Soulmate, the person the would undoubtedly become your everything.

A mark, initial, tattoo— anything out of the ordinary. Those were the things that usually connected you to you soulmate. Everyone had something of the sorts, something that connected them to their soulmate.

Unless your like Kim Taehyung, a child who's existence was the result of a tragic yet temporary love affair. A child who's neglected not only because of said love affair, but also because he lacks the one thing everyone has; someone to love him and someone for him to love; he lacks a mark, initial and tattoo; Kim Taehyung lacks a soulmate.

Or so he thought.

——

To Taehyung, The worst part of living in a world of soulmates is definitely the horrendous amounts of PDA seen everywhere by him.

As taehyung walks down the cold and crowded hallway, silently Dodging all his fellow students by sticking to wall like he needs it to survive.

Once taehyung finally reaches his locker. His cold, slender fingers raising to put in his locker combination. The thin metal door, slowly swinging open, giving access to all of his belongings. By the time he's done getting his things, the halls are empty, well... almost empty.

"Shit, I'm gonna be late"
Taehyung mumbles quietly under his breath as he picks up his pace, not wanting to be late for class again. The last time he was late to class, he ended up getting detention; but don't misunderstand, he didn't care that he had detention, as a matter of fact he didn't mind it much, what bothered him is that if he had detention he would have to walk home. And unfortunately tae wasn't too good at exercising.

But obviously he can't see either, cause he bumped right into someone who was obviously busy, well... busy eating someone's face off. It was the somewhat 'Notorious' Jeon Jungkook and his soulmate, the lovely Park Jimin. The two of them are what teenagers wanted, they wanted to be like them. The couple is the example of the perfect relationship in everyone's adoring eyes.

Jimin has some of the top scores at the school, not only that but he's also student body president and leader of the majority of clubs in the school. Jeon Jungkook, on the other hand, was basically the opposite. He was mysterious; the "bad boy" type. He's manly and captain of the basketball team. Rumor has it, he used to be in a gang and he can knock someone out just by using his pinky. But Taehyung never believed such rumors, not only were they ridiculous but he was never one to gossip.

But it wasn't only that, but they were both very rich. The perfect people destined together to become the perfect couple, what more could anyone ask for.

Jungkook's big doe eyes shooting a dark glare into taehyung's brown orbs. "Watch where you're fucking going." The ravenette said, his voice causing shivers to go down taehyung's spine.

"I-I'm so sorr-"

" kookie, why are you being so mean to him, it's not like we don't need to class anyway, come on." The pink haired male interrupted with a slight pout on his face, attempting to drag his boyfriend to their first class.

"Baby, can't we skip just this once" the ravenette practically begged his boyfriend, while pulling him closer, snaking his are around the pink haired male's waist.

'I swear to bob, this is disgustingly cute, just give me diabetes already.' Taehyung thought as he slowly walks away from the couple, and when he's positive that they are no longer paying him any attention he takes a run for it and sprints to his classroom.

When he finally makes it to his classroom, right before the bell rings his teacher glares at him.
"Kim Taehyung were you running in the halls."

"Yes, I-I was but-"

"Detention. Now take a seat, child, I don't have time for games." His teacher interrupts, saying it so calm it was almost frightening.

There was shock written all over taehyung's face. And it didn't help hearing some of his classmates chuckle at his misfortune. Taehyung complied with is teachers demand and took a seat in the very back, next to the window.

'today's gonna be a long day'
