A/N So this is a oneshot/songfic I wrote a while back. I thought I'd post it here. haha But this is all I have, I'm thinking of writing a chaptered fic but idk what it's going to be about so...... yeah. But please give me feedback on this if you would be so kind. :D
I’ve been sitting here staring at the clock on the wall.
And I’ve been laying here praying, praying she won’t call.
It’s true, Harry lied in Louis’ arms praying that Eleanor wouldn’t call today. He did this all of the time, actually. He hoped and prayed that Louis wouldn’t have to leave him again.
It’s just another call from home, you’ll get it and be gone and I’ll be crying.
He pleads with him not to leave. He loves Louis too much. Harry knew that the relationship between Louis and Eleanor was just a ploy made by their managers. Harry hated management, he hated Eleanor. And ironically, he hated Louis for having to leave time and time again.
And he knew, that if Louis left again, he’d be hurt even worse.
And I’ll be begging you, baby, beg you not to leave.
But I’ll be left here waiting with my heart on my sleeve.
All of the lads try to help Harry, but he always shoos them away. He can handle the pain himself, no matter how much it hurts.
Oh, for the next time we’ll be here, seems like a million years, and I think I’m dying.
Harry never felt good enough for Louis. This was his assumption because he had to keep leaving for Eleanor. Harry always wanted to ask the older boy why he went back to her. Why didn’t he stay with him?
What do I have to do to make you see, she can’t love you like me?
Why don’t you stay?
I’m down on my knees.
I’m so tired of being lonely.
Don’t I give you what you need?
Harry always felt lonely when Louis left. He missed the light blue eyes that would help him through anything. He missed the hushed, “I love you’s” when it couldn’t be said aloud.
When he does leave though, Harry always says:
But when she calls you to go, there is one thing you should know, we don’t have to live this way.
Baby, why don’t you stay?
When Harry tells his boyfriend his doubts, Louis comforts him.
You keep telling me, baby, there will come a time when you will leave her arms and forever be in mine.
Harry wants to believe what he says, but he just can’t.
But I don’t think that’s the truth.
I don’t like being used, and I’m tired of waiting.
Though Harry loves Louis with everything he has, deep down, he wonders what would happen if he left. Because everything the young boy feels starts to take it’s toll.
It’s too much pain to have to bear, to love a man you have to share.
Why don’t you stay?
I’m down on my knees.
I’m so tired of being lonely.
Don’t I give you what you need?
But still he says:
When she calls you to go, there is one thing you should know, we don’t have to live this way.
Baby. Why don’t you stay?
Harry feels Louis stir next to him. Apparently, his phone rang while Harry was thinking about his current situation.
Harry tensed when he heard his own thoughts scream, “You can’t let him leave again!” Another part said timidly, “Enough is enough.”
I can’t take it any longer, but my will is getting stronger, and I think I know just what I have to do.
I can’t waste another minute, after all that I’ve put in it.
I’ve given you my best, why does she get the best of you?
Harry said exactly what the timid voice in his head told him. Enough is enough.
He also told Louis:
So the next time you’ll find, you wanna leave her bed for mine:
Why don’t you stay?
He was off his knees.
He was tired of being lonely.
Louis didn’t give him what he needed.
“When she begs you not to go, there is one thing you should know, I don’t have to live this way. Baby, why don’t you stay?” Harry felt hot tears run down his cheeks when he told Louis those words.
Louis’ eyes were blurred by the his tears. He loved Harry. He didn’t like that he had to keep leaving. He knew how it hurt Harry. He only did it to “keep up their image.” He didn‘t care about their “image.” he only cared about how much he loved the boy that was right in front of him.
“No.” Louis said through his tears. “I’m not going back there.” Harry didn’t understand what Louis said at first, but when it sunk in, he looked up at Louis with his beautiful green eyes that Louis always loved getting lost in. Louis knelt down to Harry, who was sitting on their bed.
He took Harry’s hands in his own. “I’m not leaving you, Haz.” Louis pressed his lips to his boyfriend’s. It was slow and almost innocent, like how it was in the beginning.
Harry smiled inwardly, but he didn’t know what everyone would think or what would happen between them, or why he had forgiven him so quickly. He just loved him that much, he supposed.
Neither of the boys knew, but even through their broken and newly repaired relationship, they still had each other.
