Bystander effect

-When the presence of others discourages an individual from intervening in an emergency situation. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely it is for anyone of them to provide help to a person in distress

Sadly this is what lead for my death

I had an ordinary life

I would wake up exactly at 6 am to have breakfast with my wife.

She would always surprise me with something new about what's going on with her life like a new promotion, jokes she told at work. She was lovely. Goofy but the love of my life. After all of that, I would kiss her goodbye and head to work like normal.

After a long day of work, I would get home to my lovely wife and go to bed like usual.

I had a normal life

I never did anything wrong

I was nice to everyone

I had good grades when I was in school

I always listen to my boss

I got to work on time

I had good friends

I always did my best in everything

Then why did no one help me when I was at my worse

I thought someone would at least run to help but everyone just stared then walked away. Even when I once helped all of you. Help all of you at your lowest. You watch me died. Especially you my dear wife. You killed me

On that day when I was killed. Everything was normal I woke up, I had breakfast with you, I kissed you goodbye, I head to work, I come home but you weren't there. I panicked, usually you were washing your hair or reading your favorite book. You never went out when it was so dark outside.

I went looking for you praying that nothing bad happens to you, no one took advantage of you, no one beat you and left you to die.

I ended up near the general store asking if anyone has seen you. No one knew where you were or what I was talking about but one guy did he said I know where that lady was. He said to me. I was relieved but that was short-lived as I felt a sudden pain to my right side.

He stabbed me

I screamed. he kept stabbing. I yelled for help. He kept going.

Everyone watched as I screamed in agony. Staring. Not helping me. just quietly staring. Watching me die in front of them.

As my vision begins to blur and my hearing begin to ring I see a lady outside the window watching. Thinking she would help. I then see that lovely face of yours smiling down at me.
