Somewhere in Japan

Two and a half years in Sao Paulo and now I have to return to help an arrogant agent who doesn't even want my help. But damn, did we have some good times in the academy. It'll be nice to say hello!

"Agent Jean," Jenkins speaks over the com, "what is your position?"

"I am currently five kilometers away from the site," I answer.

"You're going to have to punch it," Jenkins says. "Agent Sterling did just as we expected."

"And I'm not surprised," I say. "I'll be there in less than two minutes."

As soon as I arrive I land the beautiful individual jet close to where Lance left his (and he couldn't have picked a better spot). Now I have to find him and keep him from going overboard with his James Bond fantasy.

I make my way up the traditional Japanese house choosing the way where no goons are around, since it's clearly the way Lance went. I slip by the halls and corners unseen by any distant guards and manage to move faster than usual. I make my way inside and see Lance now just a few meters away just as he's putting on a scuba suit- wait, what?

"Lance!" I whisper-yell through the com..

"I told you to stay out of this!" He replies playfully before he leaps into the large fish tank.

"Oh, don't you dare. Jenkins sent us both to catch this dealer," I tell him. "We're working together whether you like it or not."

"Then do your part of the teamwork and leave this to me," he says cockily.

"Silence, both of you," Jenkins tells us through our comlinks. "Your objective is at 10 o'clock."

Jenkins is talking about the Japanese arms dealer Kimura, who recently stole a deadly weapon from the agency. He is currently sitting behind a large desk with several screens and a large case next to him.

"There it is," I say.

Lance finishes scuba-suiting up and leaps into the tank.

"Dammit Lance, at least tell me your plan," I com him.

"I'm blowing this up," he says. "And I'm getting that case. Your assistance won't be needed."

I roll my eyes at him and simply turn the comlink off. This seriously isn't what I finished that mission for. I decide to not step into the water with him and make my way around the corridors crouching and hiding from time to time behind a flower pot when it's necessary. As I'm making my way down, I hear Kimura saying something harshly, and then hear some movement from his goons. I don't quite understand what it is he said, but no one's coming towards me or Lance, so we're good.

I'm finally downstairs and I'm hiding behind a pillar. I slightly look out to see if I can spot Lance, but someone entirely different catches my attention. A tall, angry and evil-looking man is walking towards the desk and he's being escorted by two of Kimura's men. He must be the buyer for the drone. Something- no, everything- about this man's presence is terrifying. And as if my impression of him could not get worse, he reveals the left arm that was positioned behind his back, and it's entirely robotic. He has a metal arm, and it's obviously a weapon.

I turn the comlink back on. "Lance, you seeing this?"

"Oh, yeah," he says. "I'm going in, you stay behind that pillar. I'll need you to surprise them in a bit."

"Give me a signal?" I ask him.

"No," he replies. "You'll know w-he-"

His voice distorts and then all I hear is static, and the device in my ear starts shocking my slightly. I quietly, but still pretty alarmed, take it off and shield it in my gloved hand, noticing that the usually blue light on it is now gleaming red. In about a couple of seconds, however, it returns to normal.
