Breathe

Just breathe

The snow brushed against my face with gentle giggles of cold, leaving a cherry red pigment on my cheeks. My head overflows with thoughts as my boots crunch the snow beneath them.

Breathe

A small child runs past me, her hand tightly grasped around her playmates. She turns to look behind her and her eyes gleam with childlike wonder so great they force me to reminice on my own childhood.

I don't talk

Because everytime I do

Father hits me

I clasp my hands into tight fists. So tight that my fingernails seep into my skin.  I try to breathe but the air refuses to let me inhale. Pain consumes me from the inside, shattering my heart into pointed fractures all around, breaking all in their path.

I feel lost without you Yuki. Please don't leave me here alone.

If I close my eyes tight enough and let the snow sweep me under, can I see you again? I can't breathe well without you anyway.

Authors Note: Hi!! Sorry for the long hiatus, I was busy with school and friends so I didn't have much time/inspiration to write, but I'm gonna start trying to post weekly. Sorry for the short post, but I'll post a much longer one next week, In the next chapter I'm planning on doing a time jump a little bit to keep the story flowing/interesting.

Thanks,

Zach *-*
