Wishes Do Come True

Recently, Sasha Blouse and I, childhood best friends, joined the Survey Corps. It had been my dream to be recruited by them for years. My best friend, Sasha, knew this and decided to join me. It made me happy that I'd get to make more memories with her.

During one of our meals, she asks me to come sit with her outside. She'd always been one to eat a lot but today, it wasn't like that. We sat together under the stars, eating potatoes and bean soup, "How many kills do you have again, y/n?"

I run my hand through my hand, "Well, lemme think... There was ten during the exterior scouting mission... That's about it unfortunately. At least where I got the last hit on." A shooting star falls in the dark blue sky. Sasha perks up and tells me to make a wish. My face flushes but I close my eyes and wish for her to love me one day.

As soon as I open my eyes, she's in my face. I jump back and she catches me, "What'd you wish for?"

"If I tell you my wish won't come true," I chuckle.

She whines, "But that's for kids! Pleaaaase tell me!" I tell her no and she starts sulking. Again, I chuckle at her and her face becomes light pink. Playing with her hair, she starts talking, "Sooo... y/n, I have to tell you something," I look up from my bread and suddenly, there's loud thumps coming from the forest. Immediately, the two of us get up and rush into the dining hall.

Levi is about to say something when we walk in but I shoot him a look and he shuts his mouth. I get everyone's attention with one word, "Titan." As soon as the word rolls off my tongue, Jean, Eren, Mikasa, and Levi rush outside. Sasha and I run to grab our gear then go out to join the others.

It's a 10 meter which isn't too bad but still a treat. How did it get inside the walls? Then it hit me. There must be a breach, "Captain Levi, there must be a breach. Jean, Sasha, Mikasa, and I should be able to get this titan down. You and Eren should-"

"I get the picture Officer y/n. Move out team." Both Eren and Levi fly off with their maneuver gear and toward the wall. I turn back toward the titan and speed off using the trees. Its eyes follow me and it turns a bit but not enough for Sasha to get it's nape. Jean easily moves around it and is able to slightly damage part of the nape but not all of it. Mikasa takes out its legs to give Sasha more breathing room to take him down. As she runs her blade through its neck, she gives me a comically large smile and makes a beautiful landing. I give her one back.

After the short and sweet fight, I wipe my brow, "If the wall isn't damaged then I have no idea how this one got in," I take a short look around, "We should catch up with the Captain." Everyone nods and we start making our way towards the wall.

As we walk, Sasha and I make casual conversation. Then I remember that she was going to tell me something before we noticed the Titan. So I ask her what it was. Her face goes light pink again and she pushes a strand of hair behind her ear, "So, I've been thinking. We've known each other for such a long time and we've always gotten along really well. We ARE best friends after all," she tugs a bit at her jacket, "I was wondering if we still have to be friends." My heart tugs a bit.

"So... you don't want to be friends anymore?" I grip my blades a bit tight.

She jumps up, "Wh-what? That's not at all what I m-meant!" she twiddles her thumbs, "What I meant was, I wanna be... boyfriend and girlfriend... you know?" My face goes completely red. Looks like my wish came true.

But I give her a huge smile and pick her up by the waist. The two of us sway back and forth for a bit and laugh. I give her a short kiss on the lips, making her face pink in embarrassment. Then, she comes back in for a longer one and I happily put my hands on her hips.

"Yo, I'm glad you two are happy but could you wait to do that when there's not possible Titans clawing down our walls, thank you?" Jean interrupts us. Both our faces go red and we let go of each other. We continue walking and I slip my hand on to hers, intertwining our fingers together. I glance over to see a giant smile on her face and she leans into my arm.

Once we arrive at the wall, we don't notice any damage. Captain Levi calls me over so I let go of Sasha's hand and run over to him. He's leaning against the wall and doesn't even move to greet me, "There was no damage when we got here so I have no idea how that thing got in here. We saw the footprints on our way over. There were some right next to the wall. There's a possibility it was able to climb the wall. Did you notice anything different about its hands and feet?" he asks.

"Not at all sir, a normal, albeit, large Titan came through the trees. It was a quick fight. Nothing of note to report. Jean or Mikasa might've noticed something but I unfortunately did not. Perhaps we need taller reinforcements on the walls?" Levi nods and walks over to the rest of them. I have no idea where Eren went though. Either way, I go back to all the others and hug Sasha, "We should just go sleep. It's been a long day after all." She nods at me and we head off to our rooms.

At some point during the night, I'm awoken by a presence hovering over me. When I notice the shadowy figure above me, I attack. They immediately start apologizing and letting me know who they are. It was Sasha. I apologize to her for almost hurting her but tell her not to do it again. She understands and lets me know why she did it, "I couldn't sleep. I thought you wouldn't mind it I came in here to sleep with you." I can't tell if she's blushing but I certainly know I am from the heat all over my face.

I accept and she hops into my bed with me. At first, we lie on different sides and face away from each other. However, I give in to wanting to make her feel better and turn over, taking her waist in my arms and pulling her closer to me. She doesn't complain and simply leans back into me. I feel her body heat against my chest and it calms me. I feel her chest rising up and down as she breaths and soon, she's lulled me to sleep.
