"So, Ray.. you're the spy?" The white haired boy inquired, already knowing the answer. A smile spread across the raven haired boys lips as a laughter emerged from him. It was quickly cut off by Norman, "Did you forget Im the only one you can't fool?" He stared at Ray with a blank expression as Ray had a startled one. He chuckled lightly, flashing a smirk at Norman, "And I guess you forgot Im the only person who I'm not intimidated by you."
The two stood in silence before smiling slightly at each other. They both sat on the bed as Norman inquired more to which Ray answered . If it were any other person, this conversation would of gone in a completely different way but it with it being Norman, Ray couldn't keep his evil persona up. He had a soft spot for him.
Norman was his closest friend. Sure, he was friends with Emma but he saw Emma as pretty stupid and irritating whereas Norman was smart and could see through almost anything that Ray threw at him. It was amazing for lack of better words.
Other people in the orphanage would make fun of Ray, saying he had a crush on Norman. Ray responded to this with a simple, "He's not gay and they're just good friends." Then they'd ask what a 'gay' is because Ray is the only one who reads books apparently.
Their 'serious' discussion quickly turned to a friendly chat when Ray made a dark humoured joke about them being the equivalent of steak for the Demons. Near the end of their conversation, it turned serious again. Much to Rays dismay.
"The way you spoke about us escaping though... you didn't include yourself. What did you mean by that?"
