Yesterday was a long day and watching Bonnie die was emotionally scarring. The whole she's not actually dead thing is really messing with my emotions, I'm gonna start having some more trust issues soon.
I groan when the never ending sound of my phone ringing from under my pillow decided to keep ringing until I got up. Grabbing a hold of it I angrily answer the phone without checking the caller id, "What?"
"Good afternoon to you too." I roll my eyes while I pull myself up from my very comfortable position.
"What's going on Stefan?"
"Jenna's back home." I bolt up from my bed, and I'm on my feet quickly.
"I'm guessing by the sudden clash of noise you didn't know."
"Of course, I didn't know I just woke up!" I cry out, slipping on a sweater and squeezing myself into some jeans. I stumble on my feet while I try to pull on my converse with my shoulder pressing my phone against my ear, I'm surprised I haven't ate it yet. "Fuck," I mutter when I tipped over falling backward hitting my butt against the wooden floor. "Spoke to soon."
"Did you just fall?" Stefan laughs on the other line.
"Shut up." I murmur, pulling myself up from the floor.
"Okay back to the topic at hand, Jenna said something about meeting up with Alaric, you can't let her go anywhere until I get there you got it?"
"Aí Aí chief." I hung up my phone and speed through the hall quickly almost slipping off the stairs and slid my way into the kitchen.
"Jenna you're back!" I shout grinning from ear to ear. "Good morning lovely aunt." I mentally curse myself, no one is this happy in the mornings. Tone it down Kory she's gonna know something's up.
She furrows her eyebrows, her eyes were burning holes through my cheeks while she continues to looked deep into my soul, "Morning?"
"So how's the day treating you?" My cheeks are hurting this is too much smiling for this short amount of time. I twitch a bit pretty sure I'm pulling a muscle.
"What do you want?"
"Me? oh, nothing I'm just glad to see you back from the campus." I jump on a stool, and I continue to give her my crazy wide smile. I'd make a horrible actress, I need someone to save me from being compromised.
"Right..."
"Oh come on Jenna when do we finally get some alone time to have a friendly conversation between niece and aunt."
"Alright you've got a point, so how's being back at Mystic Falls been so far?" She smiles down at me, her eyes crinkle up and I couldn't help but appreciate her more and more.
I found out my cousin is dating a vampire, who has a vampire brother. Her best friend is a vampire, and her other best friend is a witch who happens to be dating my other cousin. Oh and you're boyfriend is possessed by some old vampire who's trying to kill your niece. "It's been good, I've been hanging a lot with Elena and Jeremy. Even Stefan he's kind of cool." But of course, I sum it up nicely.
"I knew you three would be as close as ever, like when you guys were in your diaper days." She laughs at how hilarious we looked, the outfits out parents made us wear and I scowl at her. Those were my dark days, no one speaks of my dark days. "And you guys would just run around shirtless because you loved how free this country was, no idea what was running through your minds."
"Alright, Jenna I got it." I hold out my hand for her to stop the horrible memories that will haunt me forever. I grab an apple from the counter and take a seat on the stool.
