Part 4 • A big surprise

[Andy's POV]
I got kinda lost in my thoughts but I got snapped out of them by Blair.
"So there is actually one more thing I want to tell you, or actually show you. It's only a five-minute drive so we can hop into my car and I'll drive you back later. Come on, let's go."

I'm not a big fan of surprises at all and honestly, Rye being my new and, at the moment, only band mate was enough surprise for one day. But still the three of us got in his car.

The drive was very short, as Blair had already said. A few minutes later we already parked the car again at an apartment block, when something caught my eye.

"Mom?" I said, and jumped out of the car. "What are you doing here? What is this?" I asked, while she pulled me into a hug.

From the corner of my eye I saw Rye hugging this woman, who I assumed was his mom.

"So guys, you are probably wondering why we are here and especially why both of your mothers are here, so let's go upstairs and I'll tell you more." Blair said, in a kinda mysterious way.

Once upstairs Blair opened the door to one of the apartments with number 64.

We went inside, going through every room. The apartment wasn't that big but it was still quite pretty and very cosy.

After we had seen all the rooms we got back to the living room.

"Well you guys are probably wondering why I'm showing you all this." Blair more stated then questioned. "So I'm just gonna be straight-forward and tell you. This is gonna be your band apartment AND you're gonna move in tomorrow already!"

My jaw dropped for the second time that evening. "W-wait wait. What? You're j-joking us now right?" I stuttered.

"I totally understand that you guys are shocked but believe me, it's gonna be best for the band, especially for the connection between you two and the hopefully soon new members." Blair explained.

"I already spoke to your parents about it and they agreed on it. They even got some of your stuff here already, which is why your mothers are here" he continued.

I looked over at Rye and his eyes met mine. I could tell he was just as shocked as I was.
How am I ever going to survive this?

"I'll just give you a ride back to my house so you can go pick up your car and get home to get a good night of sleep and get used to the idea of all this." Blair said and Rye and I silently followed him back downstairs.

[Rye's POV]
I'm laying in my bed thinking about what happened today, but my mind keeps going back way further again.

[Flashback (yes again sorry lol)]
I don't remember much of what happened after the crash but all of our team ended up in hospital, just to get checked. Most of us were fine, some had a broken arm, but nothing too drastic. Except for one

Andy

As I was only like seven back then they didn't tell me the details, but I know he had a big head wound. I remember being so relieved when the doctor came out to the waiting room and told us Andy had a good chance of fully recovering, but he was still asleep now.

I could see him for a minute and then my mom took me home. I had no clue were my dad was. Probably out, drinking again...

At least, that's what I thought back then. Now I know better, but no one else can know, except for Misha. He is the only one who knows the truth.

A/N sorry for putting so many flashbacks in, but I want you to slowly get to know the background of the story, without telling it all at once, making it weird and not fitting into the story.
