Jack Skellington stood by the window high up in his tower, looking down at his town, Halloweentown.

His forehead was creased down and his hallow sockets were thin with worry. Two arms suddenly wrapped around his thin waist. "Jack you seem very worried" said Sally as she rested her head on his bony back. Jack gave a small jump then spun around to face his wife.
"Sally! The only thing I am worried about is you being out of bed!"
He swung her up into his arms and hurried over to their bed where he gently laid her down.

The Pumpkin King was indeed very worried because Sally had grown sick. She tired too easily when they took walks through the cemetery, she couldn't keep a small bowl of draught of death down, and she had trouble sleeping even when her favorite lullaby of screams was played throughout the night by the band of ghouls.

Jack was in a foul mood that got worse the sicker she became, finally he called doctor Finkelstein to the couple's house despite Sally's protests.
"Honestly Jack, it's probably just a passing cold I'll be fine, don't bother the doctor".
Jack shook his head as he paced,
"I am the Pumpkin King and my Queen is sick so I will bother him and bring him here."
Just then the door bell rang and Jack leapt to the door with his long legs quickly reaching the front door and throwing it open.
"Ah Jack so good to see you again!"

The doctor was greeted and quickly ushered to the bedroom to inspect Sally. Jack did more pacing as the doctor checked Sally's stitches and heartbeat. "Well doctor? Did you figure out is wrong with her?"
Jack was anxious, wringing his skeletal hands together.
"Of course I figured it out!" Exclaimed the doctor.

"I made her didn't I? It appears my dear boy that the Pumpkin Queen is pregnant."
