It was late in the afternoon, the air was humid and the heat was absolutely disgusting. However that didn't stop you from having a good time and going camping! Yesterday was the anniversary of your father's passing and you decided that the best way to try and get your mind off of it was to do something you both had enjoyed, you just wanted to keep a part of him. The moment you left your tent, you regretted that decision probably for the rest of your life. It was almost like a sauna out there! That wasn't going to deter you though, you were going to have a great day whether or not the weather wanted you to! Knowing there was a lake near by, you rushed back into your tent and began rummaging through your bag in search for your bathing suit. It wasn't anything fancy, just a simple white one piece. Throwing your clothes to the side for now, you began to put it on. You pulled out your phone and took a quick selfie because hey, when you look good; you look good.
After putting your shorts back on, you began your journey to the lake, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. It really was peaceful out here, you almost forgot the pain you were feeling. But of course since life always seemed to be out to get you, the moment the lake was in your sights... Your phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hey kiddo! It's me Denny, I was wondering if you would be okay with coming in a few hours early? I'm so sorry but we got a really big work load just a few minutes ago and I could really use the help! Ple-e-e-ase?" The man, a.k.a your boss begged.
You groaned softly in annoyance, you really didn't want to this. There would be no issue if you said no, you weren't obligated to go in earlier than you were supposed to... "Sure! It's no problem Mr. Clay, I'll be there in a few minutes!"
"You're the best champ! See you then!"
You can tell he was just beaming from the sound of his voice, you said your goodbyes before hanging up. Giving the lake one last glance, you started your journey back to the tent.
When you were back to your things, you started packing up everything into the back of your truck. When the camping supplies (minus your tent) were put away, you changed out of your swimsuit and into some dark blue shorts and some lacy (f/c) crop top your roommate packed; he was always trying to make you dress up.
One selfie later and more time spent packing your things, you were finally on the road towards Crown City. Personally you never really liked the place, which is why you live in the outskirts. You were blessed that you didn't have to go all the way into the city, the dump yard was just outside of it.
Soon you arrived outside a large brown sliding gate, you hopped out of your vehicle and walked towards it. You were a bit nervous, this would've been your first job in a while and you didn't want to mess it up. Finally swallowing your fears, you knocked as loudly as you could on the 'door'.
The sound of loud whispering and the even louder sound of some mechanical thing (you didn't really know how to describe it) caused you to jump, your heart beating hard. Tires screeching away also echoed loudly in your ears, you probably were going to be deaf by the end of this.
After a couple of minutes the door finally opened, there stood a tall man maybe in his 30s with brown hair and a beard to match; he seemed friendly enough.
"(Y/N)! Thank you so much for coming, I'm so happy you decided to actually come early!" He must've been Denny. "Please pardon the mess, I was uh... testing out some vehicles?" Denny seemed so unsure of himself and that was a red flag for you.
You were about to tell him that it was no big deal but your eyes widened instead, behind him was a beautiful red Lamborghini. "Holy shit! Is that yours?"
Denny looked confused for a second until he looked behind him, his face had an emotion of someone who was annoyed. He forced a smile, another red flag. "It was brought here by some repo men, apparently it was their old boss's and they thought a little revenge was in order."
